Hey guys.

I've been creating Facebook accounts lately they have been banned because of my IP Address.

Now my question is, if I create Facebook accounts from my university computers, will Facebook still ban the accounts?

Considering that thousands of students use Facebook on these computers at university, will Facebook go ahead and ban my account using my IP, in the process potentially banning hundreds of other legit accounts?

Im pretty sure at universitys (well mine anyways) is dynamic.. Everytime you conntect to the university.. you get a new IP...

I don't really know, but a word of advice, I wouldn't create accounts as fast as you can if you have a bot, but slow it down to 1 signup every X minutes.

I think yes they will ban you because I am sure they are monitoring IP address while registering and seriously taking it as bogus account if you are signing up from same ip more and more

I have been wonding this too but only with youtube. I think you may be able to pull it off as I think they would be more lenient on university networks because all the students visiting the site. Just try not to be to obvious with the emails and username patterns I guess. Also, try to change your mac address if your connecting wirelessly, so the university can't trace it back to you :-p

I'm sure they would piss alot of people off if they banned a Uni IP. So I don't think they would ban it.

For real man, why piss in the well you drink from? Don't mess up a potential money source before you even make the first penny. Use a proxie.

If you have lounges, or other places you can connect vs your dorm room, which is static, I think that would work best for anonymity.

I'm pretty sure every time you connect wirelessly in a lounge or public area around campus you will get a new ip.

That's the same reasoning I'm coming from, if the webmaster sees the IP is coming from a network of a fuckload of people then they will think twice about banning it and if they do ban it, they will be getting a bunch of complaints and eventually hopefully unban!?!?

Piss where you drink from? heh, I got a connection with the local isp so drinking from that well. Basically using the university's network would be the same as using a proxy because its a barrier between you and the internet just with the protection of having thousands of students ready to complain if something goes wrong.

snoopsta, I think this would work. Just make sure your not using your account the university gave you individually or use someone elses or just find a public wifi connected to the university's network.

great. that just means "use an public conntection" for example a "hotspot" (Dunno, if it's the same in Englisch)... but it doesnt have to do to much with the university, only that there are often public connections... but of course if you are in residents of the university where you have a fixed ip or if you are logged into your account... you cant do anything cause of your static adress/your account. and i would mess up someelses account to kill his academic life and make him get thrown of university. at least i wouldnt do it.
