Can someone share with me what I need to get high PR using squidoo? I was searching thru the forum but was unable to find anything. I am very new to squidoo and want to start using it more.

Squidoo, the site in itself already has a high PR. It's 7. So if you build lenses(which are very similar to blogs) on Squidoo, you will feed off this high PR. That's why it's very easy to get a high ranking in the search engine's for your lenses very fast. of course, they need to targeted on the right keywords and optimized, etc etc. but that's another whole thing in itself.

i think that if you had a very well set and optimized lens that was getting high amounts of traffic and was up for a while, your lens itself will build it's own PR as well. but why worry about that when you can feed off Squidoo's PR? you'd be better off making a bunch of targeted lenses and getting those ranked than putting all your effort into getting one single lens a high PR.

What i post comments to the high PR squidoo lenses, do I put a link back to my actual website or a link to my squidoo lenses?

I think you have to pay to add any url in the lens If I do recall.

Link back to your lens when posting comments to other lenses (that is if the lensmaster hasn't stripped HTML from comments). Make sure your comment isn't spammy otherwise the lensmaster may flag your comment.

If you want to pass on some link juice to your website from your lens, create an anchor text link using the KW phrase you're trying to rank for with your website.

That's not correct Rodog. Squidoo is a free web 2.0 platform and you can add a link back to any URL you want to in a lens without paying a thing.

The "magic" in getting your squidoo lens ranked high is based on:
1. the lens url, i.e. squidoo.com/your-keyword

2. how the keyword is used throught the lens, i.e. the title should have the keyword <h1> tag, the introduction should have the keyword at least twice, even in <b> & <i> tags

3. you should use at least 4 content modules

4. i think may be optional, but I always ping my lens in pingomatic and sometimes its spidered by google if not immediately, then max 24hrs

One of my lenses is ranked number one in both google & yahoo for a click*bank product. I'd say do a search for your keyword and see which lenses are ranked highest and pay homage by following and improving upon their success.
