Is there a way to get on the front page of digg? cause I already gotten 120 diggs within 24hours most diggs came from friends but it didn't get to the front page =[

Maybe get some more friends? I don't know a lot about digg but I know there are some power users on there who make the front page without even really trying. It seems like you should have made the front page with that many diggs in 24 hours though.

You are probably really close to breaking through the threshold so just getting a few more digg friends would probably do it. Of course I could be totally wrong too.

I already reached the maximum friends I can have 1001...

I found some tips that may help you out.

I recall from somewhere that Digg doesn't ban anymore, instead they give less weight on your account when you Digg or something. So if you ever used something like Piqqus, this may be the reason. I'm not 100% sure on this though.

Regardless, good luck getting on the front page! The current story on the front page with the lowest amount of Diggs has 127 Diggs - you're nearly there

Couldn't someone just open 100's of Digg accounts and then Digg all his own stuff? What would be reasons why this wouldn't work? It could at least get you started in the right direction I would think. Of course, the time spent doing this would probably out weight the benefits...but then again, if you get 25,000 hits to your site.....

Nah they link the accounts and ban you all from the same ip (unless you using proxies).
However I been told if you do this on stamble it works

From what I read, you put it in your favorites at the top, and shout it, then go digg everything and everthing you can.. When people see who dug their link, they see your favorite, and some will digg it for you.

I am working on this. adding friends, but also digging all the shouts I get as I collect friends.

This is just what i read, not from practice. It may be worth a try for you.

You can get 1000 diggs in 5 minutes and you will not get to the front page if they all come from your friends. Diggs promotion algorithm heavily values diversity.

You can get to the upcoming sections pretty easily with a few diggs from friends, after that point you will need a good number random diggs to push you to the front page.

Of course, the required numbers do change considerably in case of some people burying you.

What if I create 500 accts and all are from different IP's and none are friends. Would there algorithm pick up on this somehow? Just wondering how it all works. Thanks for your feedback so far.

Yes they will. The algorithms pick up on patterns. One pattern that would do you in is the age your accounts. So unless you have been creating these accounts over a long period of time don't have high hopes.

I made the homepage on my first try! Not even cheating the system lol

You can search digg for your keyword and make comments on posts that have lots of diggs, but make good comments. the only draw back is that you have to wait for about five minutes for your post to go through.

Is there any decent service that you can buy diggs?

What I've found in one of my ebooks (I don't remember how this book called):

I mean not I wrote that book...

I don't think tons of digg friends help you get on the front page since I have 1k friends and most of my diggs came from friends and didn't make it to the front page
