Just tried to create an accout and got this:
Please confirm your account ? a confirmation message was sent to *******@gmail.com
Until you confirm, you will have limited access to certain features on Twitter. Learn more
Resend confirmation - Resending confirmation Change email address

Is it just me or are other people getting it too?

I know about the gmail tricks, you can alos add a "." in the email, like
[email protected] = [email protected] = [email protected]
I was just wondering because I have never seen that message before.
Before, if you used a non existent email address, they would just tell you check and make sure it correct.
Now it says it your privileges are going to be limited if you dont confirm.
I think its about time twitter implemented this, but am not sure if its just me because I just created a bunch of account last night (no proxies).
Did anyone else try to make an account and see if they get it?

its not just you, you have to confirm your account now. just made a crap account to see if i'd get the same message and it's true.

Awww crap :(, now I have to add an extra step for each account.
They say that "you will have limited access to certain features", but so far I havent see any limitations, just followed some 500+ users, used api to post, retweeted other peoples post, and did some @replies.

On the more info page (http://help.twitter.com/forums/26810/entries/82050) it says:
What happens if you don't confirm your email?
If you don't confirm your email address, you won't receive any email updates from Twitter (for instance, notifications when you have a new follower or when someone sends you a Direct Message). Additionally, you will have limited access to certain other features on Twitter until you have confirmed.

If anyones sees any limitations please reply, want to know if it will be worth the extra step to confirm accounts.

i created a new one a few days ago without having to confirm. Do u suppose it depends on country?
