How much is this site worth?

Hi everyone.

I am considering purchasing a site that was offered to me but before I do I wanted to get a few opinions on what it is worth.

The site is 8 years old and in a fairly competitive niche. It has been monetized with adsense and CPA, making between $800 - $2500 per month and has recently dropped from the first page of google.com for its main search term. It is currently #4 on google canada.

The site receives around 9000 visits per month but does not have an EMD. The site is PR2.

What do you guys think this is worth before I decide whether to go for it.

Yes. Since the beginning of April it has so far made around $650 but there would be some seo work involved to try and push it back to the top of page 1.

Due to the amount of work involved and the fact it's already taken a hit by Panda (I assume) I wouldn't want to pay too high a multiple. I'd say anything under $10k would be reasonable without hearing further details.

Definitely a steal below $7000....anything over $10k, agreed, starts to get questionable. Sounds like a good deal.

Unfortunately I missed out. After agreeing a fee and setting up escrow the guy pulled out claiming that he had accepted a higher offer.

9000 visits per month and about 900$ revenue, I wish all my sites have that ratio.
