I want to sell my blog on flippa but the problem is that the procedure they mention to transfer site by compressing the whole database is not possible in my case since my blog is a image blog which has around 1.3 gb of content which can't be backed up on the space left on my server....:confused:
..
I have also read that if the seller is not smart enough than he could get scammed by paypal refund or something...:(:(

This will be my first time...So please help me out in selling...:o:o

I've seen sellers on their mention that the domain can be transferred by the buyer taking over their hosting plan. I don't think that the technical problem is fatal.

Use escrow to avoid scammers.

Have you talked about it with flippa guys? May be you can ask meathead here for the best advice.

If you're running a Cpanel hosting a buyer can use Cpanel move to transfer the website from your host to their host without anyone needing to download the files.

Downloading a 1.3GB website and uploading isn't much of a problem with today's Internet speeds. I don't know why you need to compress it on your server. Download to your local computer and zip it up. Images won't compress much anyways. You can FTP back up to your server after removing your website for a buyer to download or use WGET to snag it.

Plenty of ways to accomplish this move. A smart buyer won't care. If he can't figure it out then have him hire someone that moves GBs websites all the time. I have many that are more than 4GB that I move around.

Just mention on the listing the size of the website and you should be fine.
