Default My first sale didn't went really well...

    Hi all,
After much research I decided to create a well research niche site with completed content and stuff. I even spent a lot of time crafting my sales copy

But my auction only ends with 2 bids and 50 views..what went wrong? Isit because I'm a newly created acc with no feedback? Or my sale copy really sucks?

Feedback can be one of the reasons. By the way what are you earning on monthly basis?

If the monthly revenue is very low, you won't get a good price then.

When flipping a site (particularly on F1ippa) the following things should help you fetch top dollar:

1.) Excellent Feedback - The "social proof" applies to most marketing done on the web. People want to see other people with great results from your past sales. The only way to get it, is to earn it over time or purchase an established account. Of course, doing that is not generally recommended.

2.) Listing Upgrades - Although this is a little expensive, it does bring you a lot more views if you: bold, highlight, feature, etc your listing. You are trying to make your listing stand out among hundreds of others so you need to go the extra mile. Only do this if you know you can make it back on the sale and if you're sure you have a good product in the first place.

3.) Outside Buzz - There are tons of forums about IM where you can post about your site. Create a thread and link back to your F1ippa page. If you can find a few niche forums that would be even more effective.

4.) COPY - Copy really matters. With excellent copy people can get persuaded into thinking your site is awesome even if it's average... look at the "recently sold" sites and see how successful users make their copy. Specially users with a great history. These guys know the ins and outs of F1ippa so reverse engineering their success is a no brainer.

5.) Pricing - Your product really needs to be priced efficiently. Sometimes a good fixed price can make you more than an auction would whereas sometimes a no reserve system makes bank. You ideally want to price according to the site being sold. More professional sites take a different route.

That's all off the top of my head. Maybe I might chime back in for more.
