Hey guys,

I bought a blog on a lifestyle/genesis theme. I was wondering if anyone is
aware of a general, or perhaps specific policy regarding resale of such a blog?

It comes with the standard GNU or gpl 2 license - which as far as I can see
doesn't address the specific theme, but rather wordpress in general...

But I do not see anything relative to lifestyle or genesis...

If I assume the seller has a developers license - (But honestly I do not know) Is
there any in general I might "assume" or not?

Edit - I did find one seller on Flippa who indicated in the description of his site
for sale, that if you want to re-sell the site, you can do so with no problem at all. and
it is the same theme - Again, I couldn't determine the answer from studiopresses
FAQ's - but this seller on Flippa seems to feel it is Kosher...

Does a developer's license allow the buyer, once removed, to resell the site?

Hey Hali, generally a developers license does not allow for a second sale, i.e. the first buyer reselling it because in a way the theme seller loses a potential client.

However with most themes it is pretty tough to trace who is using the license and who the original buyer was. For example, with the Socrates theme, they check a serial number which is the same across all installs, so as long as you have the serial and you pass it on to the next buyer there is no way to tell.

I am pretty sure you wouldn't fall into any trouble.
