I own a site about celebrities/tattoos/gossip and i am getting 15k visits per month. how much it worth do you think?

The content is not unique so i didn't try to monetize it myself with adsense and still couldn't think on how to monetize it with other ways.

If your traffic is stable, I think you can get 15 X your monthly earnings.....I think that is the norm although I have never sold websites. It is just what I have been reading on the forum here.

I have sold many websites on flippa , but my question is because i dont have an income yet. the traffic is growing day by day. but my main income from my sites is adsense and i wont put adsense on there because the content is not unique and i dont want to risk my ad account in any way.

but i still think 15000 visitors might worth something even tho i didnt monetize it yet.

It's only worth as much as you can make with it. That said, there's a lot you can do to monetize it. Read as much as you can about CPA, or think of ways to segment your visitors and point them to outside links under your control (target them).

If it's about Bollywood celebrities then it's worth about fuck all. Indian traffic isn't worth jack shit.

Chances are the only reason why you didn't try to monetize it is because you know it wouldn't make much to write home about. So you're trying to sell it based on traffic numbers alone. But hey, there's a sucker born every minute and I'm sure you'll find one on Flippa to buy your site for more than it's worth.

traffic does not matter so much...earnings are those that are important

If the site isn't being monetized, then any legitimate domainer would stay well away from it. They usually want to see traffic AND income stats from at least the last 6-12 months.

Wow, cannot believe the narrow mindedness of some people. Where yo have high traffic you have a way to make some money. Now I know you say adsence is out, thats ok.

Perhaps you can sell ad space? There are some brokers out there you can sign up with and get a little dough by allowing people to place banners.

You can allow others to post a celeb related article for a small fee that directs readers to THEIR offer. You can do an email submit offer to some celeb "sex tape" or "image gallery" etc...

The thing is you had better really have that many viewers. if you do, then you can likely do something with that.

As for selling it as is, it depends on who the buyer is. If the traffic is legit SOMEONE can monetize it.

Maybe you can go one step further. Allow some BHW member to monetize the site for a time-frame and let them keep the profit, this way you can LEARN how to monetize this site and the member makes some $$$ doing so for a while. Win/Win

what some knows,others might dont know so on anything you can make something better and see potential where others dont see it .

Didnt try to monetize it because i am focusing on other things would like to have ideas on better ways to monetize it, if someone has a good way we can even do a JV if he does the work

bought a site from flippa this month fro 600 and its making me 10 dollars a day already. sometimes the owner of the sites dont see the potential that others see.......anyway just tryign to get ideas on how to monetize it from this thread or maybe sell it but for sure not for 50 thanks everyone for the comments and recommendations

i tried to look into buy sell ads but 15000 visitors is not that much looks like..as per the rates there i would be making maximum 50 dollars per month

why not monetize with a cpa offer thats appealing to teenagers seen as they are the ones who keep up with that stuff. Or even add soemthing to download like, "TOP 10 CELEB SECRETS OF 2011" write some crappy secrets in a pdf file and lock it with some offers. Just some ideas, possibly worth a try even if 1000 of your 15000 fill out a quick email submit thats potentially atleast $1000 a month

I have added 3 days ago a cpa about getting to test the new iphone 5 that is coming out and no one clicked

never used content locker but looks like a good idea, if you have experience with that maybe want to do it and lets split 50-50 the profit?

I think I have a dollar in one of my paypal accounts you can have in exchange for your site.

Any form of monetisation is worth it at this point, because traffic can be faked and isn't valuable.

Converting your leads/earning your pennies is the real indicator of value.
