Preferred Method - For Site Transfer ? Cloning SW or Standard FTP

When it comes to transferring the site to the buyer, what
method of transfer do you prefer?

Standard FTP upload to their host?
Using cloning SW to work the transfer?

Those are the only two methods I'm familiar with. I don't have a reseller account.
I may opt for a reseller account down the line, but need to get comfortable
with the process before making that leap.

And, if you do use cloning SW, have you found them to be reliable?
Do they get stuck or have issues with regularity?

Anyhow - your feedback is certainly appreciated.

What you should do is buy them hosting with a web host and then take advantage of the hosts free transfer service, any host worth having has a free transfer service

If you had a reseller account you could set them up an account with free hosting for a month (or more) as part of the sale and put it there.

Chances are they won't move it.

I wanted to get past the basic "sales" of a site learning curve before
jumping into possible reseller hosting...

In your experience they will usually stay with you when you offer the hosting?
