Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
Lots of Flippa sellers copy others, so it's common to see short trends where the same type of sites come up over and over again.

Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
Yeah a lot of those kinds of sites are regurgitated... people will pull backlink reports and find their traffic sources, make a clone, and sell it off after the first week or two. It is called the pump and dump method, which sadly is never really able to be moderated because the traffic and income are legitimate.

Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
are these sites worth it? I mean they say "statistics don't lie" and there IS traffic to these sites, and there IS revenue. My biggest worry is that they are not actually making legit sales. I have seen these sites up for sale and have done some research into them because I was actually interested in picking a couple up.
But I found that many of them were not ranking for any keywords and they claimed they were not using any methods of paid traffic. I'm just wondering how these guys start a site up, with no traffic, no ranking and get 2k in sales in 15 days or so. It just seems like a setup to me. But I can't figure out how they are doing it.
I would LOVE to get a hold of a profitable site like that, something that I could trust. Unfortunately, their "top seller" badge doesn't sell me.
Any insight, gurus?
EDIT: Another thing that just came to mind; Most of them are in the 2-3k price range. They are no older then 3 months, and they usually title it "$1,250 IN JUST ONE MONTH" Then they provide proof of that "big month". What a coincidence...???

Share the "pumping" with us. It seems to me that pumping is the biggest deal.

Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
On one of the listings there was a comment from a guy accusing one of the " top sellers" of false information. He claimed that he owned the domain during the dates that the seller was claiming revenue on the site.
That's kind of when I started wondering if most of these PayPal proofs were setup or photoshopped.

Yes the paypal proofs can be photoshopped for sure. So its not a "All clean" offers going on there at Flippa.

Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
Most of these sites selling at flippa are scams. The seller himself bids to his listing via fake accounts and finally someone ends up buying it thinking that the site is legitimate.

Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
Pump and dump is dumb and is giving everyone a bad reputation. It's not even a new idea.
Do it legitimately and make some real honest money and build a reputation.

Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
I think it's crazy all these sites just relying of google search engines obtain traffic and then potentially make some money. All this is done on autopilot so what does that mean when google does a real overhaul to their algorithm? All these sites are going to stop making money.

Re: Flippa, so many sites selling same stuff
Why you forgot the biggie one mate? "Autoblog Creation Service" Made $xxxx in x days , Where they got sales from? Flippa itself? You can see everytime there's a auction up for that , for an amount of $100usd they make it bin $5K OR $6K
