Question Is sedo any good for sites flipping?

Their primary focus is on domains but they let you sell websites as well, so i was wondering if any of you had success with it?
At least you can list all your sites for free there for as long as you like, and pay for featured only for the ones you feel like it.

I'd say Flippa is a lot better even though you have to pay the fees, the buyers are at least a tiny bit convinced that the site is not just quick-rubbish.

Forgot to mention that Sedo is known mostly for the domains sold (I never even knew you could sell sites!), so the visitors are most likely domain-buyers.

The problem with SEDO is that there are thousands of listings, so even though it's free to list, you'll never get any exposure and you might be waiting years to even get an offer. If your site actually generates revenue, Flippa or a broker are definitely your best bet.

Like stated above, sedo is good for domains. Once in a blue moon a complete website will sell but its for people who want a solid domain to start a serious business with.

If you want to sell a website do Flippa, or eBay

    Had the same reaction.

Unless something has drastically changed (I admit that I haven't looked at website listings on eBay for quite a while), eBay is only good for turnkey sites that typically sell for $10-$20 (IF they sell - vast majority don't), with the seller making money by offering hosting or other upsells.

Anybody care to elaborate whether something's changed on that front?
Want to sell your profitable website? meathead1234 and I have sold over $1,000,000 in sites in 2011 alone. Our clients have HUGE budgets for the right site! Check out reviews on our JV thread NOW!

    Yo bryanon,

I was just on egay two days back and i browsed their site listings. Damn it's really gone to rubbish, plenty of turnkey sites there for the prices you listed when buyers are asking $xxx for them. Nothing has changed, just more turnkeys then ever. but i would make a bet that theres a diamond in the rough somewhere lol

SEDO can never be better than Flippa as you can see that there are very few sites being sold at SEDO while Flippa has so many sales being done and with complete transparency also.

Unless yоur domain is of the highest quality, it's impossible to sell оn Sedo. The domainers therе sell domains that аre worth at the very lеast $500. None of that stuff whеre yоu can grab ten average domains аnd hope to sell thеm fоr $50 а pop аnd cоme out with the $500 thаt way.

I think flippa is better than SEDO. I've listed some of my sites on SEDO before but honestly there are no offer for about 8+ month. Ironically I've got some offer from other site for the same website I own.
