Default Featured on Flippa - Worth It?

I have an auction on flippa for a website the starting price is $99 with no reserve and the buy it now is 2500 with a ton of extras. its only 2 months old and is a popular trending topic and it makes about $350-$400 a month. Im already out like $40 on the listing and the auction started at 7 days and has 5 days left. I dont have any bids and only have 40 views. Do you think it will be worth it to buy the featured option? I have a feeling if more people can see it I will get bids but I dont wanna be out $80 if it doesnt sell. Im not sure if its worth it or not.. Any ideas.

Also on a newer site. I have purchased cheap traffic which has incidently turned into revenue for the website. Should I disclose this traffic or just say I dont have analytics installed? I have chosen the later route so far and not sure if its correct. I didnt want to turn buyers off if the see that all of my traffic is direct traffic and high bounce rate.

then once the buyer find out you bought traffic, and they will cause after sale you have to tell them your marketing technique, and if the person believes the traffic is natural and they find out practically no one goes to the site, then buddy your in big trouble with a Capital T

Yes, you should tell them you have bought traffic. If you don't they will find out, you'll end up having to refund them and you'll get your account banned

also you cant lie about analytics..
the code is visible in source code..

technically, dont lie anything.. just tell the truth..
if not sold, keep the site for sometime..
you said; "it makes about $350-$400 a month"
then why not make another site and rinse and repeat??
Broadly speaking, the short words are the best, and the old words best of all.

I think I worded my original statement incorrectly. I bought 10,000 visitors for $5 that ended up getting me like $15 dollars in revenue. Its not my source of revenue by any means, I use free methods of promotion for my main revenue stream. The website is newer and doesnt get a whole ton of organic visitors. Since I bought the 10,000 visitors is has screwed up analytics up and has flooded out any organic traffic. I didnt want to turn the customer off. What I meant was should I show them up front or just explain this to the buyer as that the revenue is not contingent on the bought traffic.

    Not really, no.

PayPal have revised their T&C already a while back (around half a year) and the CD trick doesn't offer nearly as much protection as it used to.

All you can do really if you want to use PayPal is to vet the buyer (prefer buyers that have at least some history on Flippa), make sure they're happy (i.e. your listing copy and answers are honest and accurate) and hope for the best. Or if your site sells for say $2k+ then insist on using Escrow.

The CD trick does still work... but if the buyer claims the goods are digital from the beginning, you're going to be in for a bit of trouble.

Go for the featured listing, how much more would it cost you? Also please inform them that it's paid-for traffic you're getting, wouldn't want to see you get in trouble or your account banned.

Good luck by the way, hope it sells.

If you have a quality website and it's not some turnkey POS then in my experience it has been VERY beneficial to pay for the additional marketing spotlight.
