You said before we sell the site on Flippa we SHOULDN'T be seen in the search engines? If we were seen in search engines wouldn't it be beneficial for us to use that as a selling point? I'm a little confused as to why we shouldn't be seen?

To clarify: the AUCTION shouldn't be seen on the first page of SE's.
For example, if they search the domain you are selling on Flippa and find your DP auction where you've paid 10% of the price you are now selling for, it's not going to look very good
DP auctions tend to rank on first page, especially if your site isn't very well established in SERPs.
Dear Meathead1234,
Really appreciate your guys efforts on starting this thread and giving helpful tips. I'm just starting in Flipping business and looking for as much as information I can collect. I need your reviews about one of my blog (w3.dog-obedience-problem.c0m), how much do you think it worth on flippa. I can work on Sales letter and these are some informational points about the blog.
1. The content is automated ( can give the software with the blog, if required)
2. It is unique in terms of google as it goes through 2 processes of translation before posting on blog.
3. Adsense, Clickbank and chitika ads are in place.
Any suggestions and tips are appreciated.
Kind Regards
Meathead, I suppose the traffic is not much just averaging between 1600-2000 visitors/month. I've just started using adsense from last month so just waiting for it to show some pennies.
Thanks
Hi there,
Where is the best place to sell around 100 sites all in the same transaction?
I remember someone mentioning a place....not flippa though.
I made a mistake by attempting to diversify my business so just want out.
Edit: posting in another thread...

are you ever scamming people by buying fake traffic to these flip sites?
No, this is fraud and would not be a sustainable business model. Sure, I might be able to make a quick $10k... but why do that when it can be repeated legitimately on a regular basis?
Whilst I would never encourage you to buy fake traffic, there's nothing wrong with using WH paid traffic (PPC etc) to increase the revenue and traffic, just make sure you take into account the costs. Generally speaking, if it's profitable (PPC cost vs revenue wise) then it's worth doing - although some buyers may be put off by the fact it would need constant monitoring.

informative, thanks. I have a lot of domains, but I am always afraid to sell them since I think maybe I will use them in the future or they will be worth more later, even though I know that is probably not true.
Yeah, this is quite normal for most of us. I have a ton of undeveloped domains and it's not really worth my time selling them,
Might be a good idea to chuck a quick autoblog up on each domain, just to get it indexed and earning enough to renew until you find a better use for it.

The same goes for using expired domains for traffic. Ethically, you are responsible for divulging to the potential buyers/owner the true source of your traffic. And making sure that the traffic source follows is usually a good idea. It just makes good business sense.![]()

I posted this in your QaA but noticed this is the more active thread
I am looking to get into flippa to make a few hundred a week i have a few questions for you
1. can you sell sites with premium themes and plugins DLed online. (If i was successful in my listings id prob but em anyway)
2. I think i saw you mention sending the buyer the site in a disk as a precaution do you have others ways to make sure you dont get ripped off?
3. Do you recommend escrow for niche sites that i am looking to sell for under 400?
Thanks
Great post!
Really helpful.
1) Not really, but I'm sure people do anyway
2) This used to work, but not so much anymore. Try to speak to the buyer on the phone/Skype first - if they are willing to do that then it's usually a good sign.
3) No - too expensive. We do Paypal for anything under $1000 and just risk it!

great info. thanks for this!
Say you have a niche adsense site making 2 bucks a day and it is six weeks old but has been consistently making 2 bucks a day for 3 weeks. What's a reasonable price to expect for it? Will people still pay for 10 months even though its only been making money for a few weeks? Or is it better to hold onto it for a while?
Excellent post, meathead! This is very good
leant a lot from this, great read!
There are some much useful information over here
I want to know what is the closing ratio of the flippa listing?
How do you drive traffic to the flippa listing?
Thank you for thread
So, then I assume it'd be a bad idea to buy a site from here, then...
Sorry to be a noob here but when everyone says "DP" what site are you referring to?
Good job for that ! I will test it !

Would be interesting to know what's the situation with flipping now, especially after Panda and recent PR updates

Hey Meathead,
Are autoblogs still selling well on Flippa in your experience? I could do with some quick cash, I have one autoblog making approx $50/month (strong traffic, 500k alexa rank) and a couple of autoblogs with PR2 (not much traffic, approx 1.5m alexa each).
I realise that these would be fairly low value if they sell, but are they likely to fetch enough on Flippa to warrant the fees, or would I be better off just sticking to DP for these?
very informative and helpfull, wil be using on a few of my sites
Can you go over what to look for when buying a site? i have no experience with wordpress/coding or IM whatsoever and im looking for a good site. I only have about a $50 budget but I'm not really too sure what to look for when trying to find potential in a site.
Also could you talk more about your partnership with Bryanon as far as what you two bring to the table as individuals? I know that Bryanon specializes in writing and you specialize in brokering and flipping and I was wondering how you guys run your projects.
@meathead1234, I sent you a PM yesterday asking a few questions. Please check when you have time.
Staying Calm In Bad Times Will Get You Through

Has anyone an ideo how to make money with a gaming site
Thanks for this. Its good that someone put something like this together.
this is an awesome post!
now, I'd like to ask you guys a question: what about website BUYING? because this post is all about selling websites for pennies, but I think that you guys aren't seeing the big picture in here.
imagine what you could do with a site that is already making some money (not much, but something) and/or getting thousands of unique visitors per month:
- you could develop a new layout, put some unique content, SEO it (i've just coined a word) and create a product (everything outsourced),
- and/or you could start getting email suscribers through an opt-in,
- and/or you could put some adsense.
and THEN, after all that, you could start creating REAL money. remember that internet marketing is a BUSINESS, not a hobby, and if you take it as a REAL business, you will be start earning REAL money.
anyways, what i'm trying to say is that I believe you're thinking on getting money NOW, immediately, but you're not applying the REAL businessman thinking. that is long-term thinking.
I'm talking about developing a business around internet marketing, like the big guys, and diversifying the income streams (as I said before, throug aff marketing, adsense, cpa, email marketing, product creating or even joint ventures!).
just my 2 cents.
This is exactly what I do now, along with a number of other revenue sources.
The idea of this post is for people just getting starting out with minimal starting capital. Flipping sites is a good way to raise cash in the short term, and can then be reinvested into the "real" business down the line.
meathead1234 i was hoping to see if i can get you input on one of my sites I am pseriously considering selling.
