Hey guys I wanted to give you a heads up about Rocket Profit. I was running 100% whitehat PPC to 2 offers and had many sub affiliates and guess what. They BANNED me. Said that I won't be paid. I mean they owe me a lot of money and claim I forfeited by being part of a blackhat community as there new TOS which I've never seen says they have the right to remove you from the network and not pay you if you have associations with websites they consider not to meet their standards.

My traffic was high quality in fact almost a 90% rebill and they still decided to try to steal my money. Here's the email I got.

For some reason the quality of your traffic is suspiciously high. Their rebill is 88% when our average is over 65%. We have removed your account effective immediately because we have learned you are a member of a blackhat community and in all likelyhood these leads were obtained in a violation of our TOS. As far as payment goes you'll get it from us when HELL freezes over!! You are 100% responsible for the traffic that you send in. IF I were to send you 100% fraud leads and you were an advertiser, would you pay... We aren't getting paid on the offer and lost them both due to this.

Wow thats shady. Ive been scared about being here on BHW also, as my username is the same username as it is on my aff networks.

They basicly said that they couldnt proove weather it was BH or not when they said in all likleyhood these leads were obtained in violation.. that didnt seem like they knew exactly what they were talking about, just going on a blind guess.

Take them to court and win haha.

I plan on taking them to court and I can prove EVERY click came from PPC so I think I should win but you never know.

Guilt by association. Until things die down I would keep in a quiet corner, being pro-active in a community isn't worth loosing thousands of dollars over. I hope you take them to court and win, of course. I work with an exclusive set of networks, funny companies like Rocket Profit not included.

Whats the difference he already lost the money, the two things really have nothing to do with eachother they were legit earnings

I dont use them anymore as well, as their leads I sent didnt even track

I'd love to meet the advertiser who complains that advertising is working to good. They just wanted to keep my money I'm sure of it. There have been times it took them 2 and a 1/2 months to pay out because they didn't have my money I assume. Or they got tired of paying me my super affiliate money off my hundreds of sub-affiliates

man that sucks. I hope you take them to court and win. Bring the message from your AM to court, hopefully the language used by the AM will hurt their case. I'll be sure to never use Rocket Profit. They might think that's good since I'm here on BHW, but I would only be sending quality leads, so it is their loss. Thanks for the heads up.

Edit: Maybe you can get more than you're owed because of the way they banned you, try to also get money for emotional distress. If you cost the network money for emotional distress, it might get that AM fired. He made you lose your job, take his.

Lead quality was so good that they had to terminate you??? That's like dumping your girlfriend because she gives you head twice a day and swallows...

Anyway this is really fucked up and to get an email like that is insulting (and extremely unprofessional on their part).

If you're talking serious dough then I would take a trip to their offices and have a little face-to-face...

I would register some domains names like *rocketprofitscam.com* and maybe 4 more related and senuke the shit out them and xrumer there ass to oblivion and blast that shit all over the net. Since they wanna be cute..I would make them superstars of cpa networks for being the scammers they are, get the AM name and register his name as a scammer also..and make it your business burn there company to the ground...I HATE reading stories like this, when a legitimate whitehatter gets fucked over. That's why im blackhat xtremest....sorry u guys i went off on a tangent ..sorry.

Odds are some of the people you referred fucked up bad and your account got flagged for signing up a ton of fraud.

While it is sometimes nice to get a little bit extra cash for a referral, you may be risking your account.

Nope wasn't the referrals please read the post. They traced me to blackhat world or one of the other blackhat type sites I'm a part of. I'm sure I'll win in court because I can prove I only used white hat methods and they can't prove I did anything wrong. By the way besides the commission I'm owed I'm also suing for the amount I would have earned off my referrals so expect to get a fair amount of money.

By the way I sent out an email to all the people under me asking them to stop promoting rocket profit offers. I hope they do because they have no business banning a white hat account. They were paid by the advertiser for my leads (I checked) so Rocket Profit were the ones who committed fraud.

I've never had a problem with Rocket Profit and as a matter of fact I openly told my AM that I do a lot of black hat marketing and he said that he is not the one to judge and that I can do whatever as long as it doesn't cause major problems on the back end. I've been getting paid for over a year now and it is in $xx,xxx range every single month. I don't know who your AM is but it sure doesn't sound like mine. Good luck in court though. RocketProfit

This guilt by association shit is getting ridicules. BlackHat activities aside, ANYONE who is interested in successful Internet marketing should be reading this forum every day. Many whitehat methods come from modifying blackhat methods. (And Vice versa.) So just because people are active on BHW doesn't mean they are necessarily breaking any rules.

Just a couple campaigns I had a really good landing page that only sent people who were really interested to the offer that match them. Then again 2 of my landing pages outranked the advertisers actual pages in google.

Guilt by association will never stand up in court, and they know it. Whether its in their TOS or not, whether you signed it or not, no one in a feduciary relationship is allowed to terminate a contract without cause. You have a feduciary relationship and they have a legal responsibility to live up to their end of the contract. The "we don't like where you hang out" clause will never have a chance.

I'm not a lawyer, and can't recall the principle right of the top of my head, but a contract is only a contract if both sides give consideration. If one side has no requirement of consideration (in other words if they don't have to pay you just because they say they don't) it isn't actually a contract and will never stand up in court.

that they can ban you for "any reason or no reason" excuse is BS, overly broad language like that, when money is owed, doesn't even hold up in court with a notarized signature. so even if they try that, you should still win easily.

I talked to the CEO of RP Parent company yesterday and today I woke up to the FED-EX guy dropping off a check for the full amount owed and a formal letter of apology. This made my day but I still wont be using RP anymore

Rocket Profit is insanely shady, and the amount of "don't do it'" I've gotten vs the "they're great" ratio is somewhere in the 7:1 -12:1 ratio range. I personally said "fuck this" when I saw a clause in their TOS which says if you send traffic for them, you send traffic for them exclusively, and wont send traffic to anyone else for the duration of your dealings with them PLUS 1 year afterwards.

Glad to see you got paid though, and have set your own gig up with companies directly. That letter was completely uncalled for, unprofessional, and something I would expect from a sweatshop style adult aff network...RP is batting a thousand lately.

Hire an attorney and have them send a formal complaint... That should get their attention...

RP is part of a public company (NWMO on the Nasdaq). You got your check because $100k is FAR less than the cost of dealing with a lawsuit and the accompanying bad PR.

Can't believe I just now read this, but talk about turning turds to gold. You got paid, got revenge AND got hooked up directly to the source.

Of course you don't want to, but did the apology letter speak of a continued relationship with them if you wanted to?
