Quick background:

Trophaeum submitted a website brokerage request to my company on the 28th September for a site he wanted to sell. It was smaller than I'd usually take on, but as it was Troph I decided to do it anyway.

For privacy reasons, I will not disclose the URL sold or the buyer's details.

We agreed a % the same day and a minimum price of $15,000:

Since then, not a word. I have tried contacting him via Skype, email and IRC a number of times.

At this stage, I am not accusing Cameron of being a scammer, we'd just like our invoice to be paid. The service was completed above his initial expectations and he was paid promptly by my client via Escrow.

I recognise that myself and Cameron are in different timezones (I'm in the UK, he's in Aus) but we never had communication issues before and we both work long/weird hours anyway.

Seeing as I've had no contact through any other medium, I thought a thread here might prompt a response. This is a last resort before we consider taking the matter further.

I've personally sold over $1m in websites for BHW members in 2011 alone, so there are a lot of people who can vouch for me on that front. The proof I have provided above covers everything I believe to be important to the matter at hand.

If anyone has regular contact with Troph, I would be grateful if you could get in touch with him on my behalf. Thanks!

So your saying that a once super administrator that was recently demoted to just simply donor owes you money?
I am pretty sure harro would know more about his whereabouts than anyone else.

That is indeed what he is saying. Cameron seemed like a good guy, he and I were starting a JV which he had me do extensive background work before he dropped off the face of the earth.

Maybe things have come up for him and that's fine; the hope is that he isn't a scammer and he comes back and pays Tom the money he is owed for the service.

Hopefully this is all just a misunderstanding.

Correct (although it should be noted that monies owed has nothing to do with his change of status on the forum).

He's definitely been around as he's been chatting on IRC (from what I've been told) when I've not been on. He's had more than enough time to drop me a quick email/Skype with an update on the payment.

Yep, that's the IRC I was referring to.

He's also been online on Skype (I never had communication issues before) so it's not like he wouldn't have got my messages (especially in the last 3 weeks).

As I said, I hope it's all a misunderstanding, but the lack of contact hasn't been very assuring.

No, it hasn't been sorted. Apparently Troph has been moving house, although I'm not sure why that would delay sending a wire payment by over a month.

BTW, haven't heard from him either, and haven't seen him on Skype even though he'd have no reason to hide from me.

I don't want to say anything, but usually this situations are because

- Person doesn't want to pay you
- Person is dead

This is a bad situation, but Thomas's professionalism always amazes me.

So many times I see people posting nasty comments or getting worked up to the point of anger over issues like this(which is understandable in a lot of these types of issues).

I hope others that are facing the same sort of issue see this post and use it as a model for how to execute true customer service.

In closing, I hope you guys are able to get things squared away. Trophaeum has always seemed like a solid guy to me, so I hope he sees this and does what needs to be done before things get out of hand.

i think he should be banned. Surprised he is not yet. Scamming other BHW members is not cool. We are family here, at least I hope so.

OP I truly hope things go good for you and I'm sorry for your troubles but I do agree there is no reason not to send a wire timely..

Nope, he's still AWOL.

He has been locked out of his BHW account since the new ownership, but that's a different issue. He's aware of this thread and I've been told numerous times he's been around on IRC or wherever. No effort to contact me at all.

Troph always seemed to be a stand up guy aswell. I hope this gets sorted, its been a while im suprised that its not been resolved yet.

I didn't save the URL and i don't know how to retrieve it.

There were a lot of BHW members there so maybe someone can shoot the URL and try to see if he is active there.

I'm not of a big help but i sincerly hope you'll get your money.

That forum has been gone/removed for some time. They said they'd bring it up after changing servers at the beginning of the year but it never happened (as mentioned per the last blog post on the annoying content locked page).

So you won't have much luck with that, anyway.
