I read somebody's blog about how they turned the tables on the scammer also. It was absolutely hilarious, and i think everybody should have a go at it and see who can be the most creative. lol
Its the Nigerian scam again like most of these spam emails promising you money...They must think we are all green or something! But i guess some people fall for these scams big time! Best place is the delete button!
I received a check the other day saying I won a jillion dollars...Didn't know what that domination would run to, but I can imagine you can buy a ton of johnny cakes with it...
I don't want to rain on anybody's parade, but you have to be very careful messing with these scammers. Although they mostly have Nigerian origins, they can have contacts in other countries too, and if they identify you, it can cause you a lot of problems.
If you want to get back at them, join 419eaters. They will assign you a mentor who will guide you through your first tries at scambaiting.
It can be a lot of fun, but when you register, use a completely new username. 419ers troll that forum too.
Yes, in all seriousness, NEVER fall for one of those emails. They're ALL scams.
419eater.com is some pretty funny stuff, but I don't recommend engaging these people. There's been stories of people being raped & murdered by nigerian scammers. And like the user above me said, they sometimes have good contacts in other countries. It's best not to engage them.
If you get a letter like that in your Inbox, just delete it or forward it to the FTC at spam@uce.gov
