Yes,it looks scammy but how did they use the domain libertyreserve.com?
Don't scammers use other different domains?

    They haven't.
    They created a subdomain on
    http://www.chtimi.com/
Read the address properly, no wonder so many people get caught.
Read addresses from right to left.
They've been reported now so shouldn't be up long.
Let's see how legit chtimi.com are.

Anyways How much helpful the post was?

Not only that but also they used no-reply@libertyreserve.com to send those mails. How is that possible?

It's pretty easy to spoof the senders email address if you know what
    you are doing.

You could view your history and see the transactions.
Only problem with LR is you can only view transactions in
    two week periods.

I think the bigger question is are they just spraying out e-mails hoping people have LR (unlikely), or did LR's db get compromised in some way. Possibly some 3rd party that labels some data as an LR user in some way, but I think something was compromised because not many people use LR to just spray around e-mails and hope to hit someone. I haven't gotten one, so it's probably the 3rd party guess, or LR got hit before I signed up.

I am not agree with you bro about your lost money. I am using LR since past few months and never had any issue about fund lost. Also they charges very low on transaction fee as 1% only while Paypal charges nearly 4% . I am quite happy with their service. But its true that there might be some third party accessing their data. Bcz I was randomly receiving mail saying that account block notice. There also they were asking for my accounts details as pass, master key, SQ etc.

I got exactly the same email from someone yesterday. Where should we report these scammers so others will be warned?

paypal charges 4% because they allow credit card payments and the bank takes a few %.

You can only load your liberty reserve account with exchangers, and they take fees.

You are right about that but paypal is not allowed for all countries. And LibertyReserve doesn't have any limitation like that.

Yesterday I opened a Liberty Reserve a/c to pay a seller who only accepts Liberty Reserve. Gave up when I found out that I also have to possibly register at an exchanger and pay from US$10 (minimum) up to US$35 in fees to buy just US$60 Liberty Reserve. WTF, 16.7% to 58.3% in fees ?
Today, I came searching for advice for an affordable and reliable exchanger, to buy Liberty Reserve USD with plastic credit card.

But after reading this thread I'm having second thoughts. What a crap environment to send and receive money.

It's like being flashed back to the Dark Ages.
Like being a fcuking Hobo or Bindlestiff, carying a Bindle.
It won't be long before we have to bite in PNG e-money "coins" to check if they are really made from e-gold or whatever.

Aye, me hearties. No wonder these fcuking PayPal Pirates rule the high seas of the internet world. We should get ready to pillage, plunder, and rob them. And rape their women. Arrr!
Well, me hearties, now let’s see what crawled out of the bung hole.
