Hi i do not know whether they are bhw member or not. But as i recently scammed by these two persons, i think it will be good to me if i share these two persons details here so rest bhw members will not get scammed by these two people.

I am sharing their email ids, as i do not know their bhw member name. If bhw mods found this violating TOS of bhw, please remove.

First person name is Marian Janik, email id is marianjanik@hotmail.com & harmony69@live.com.au.

This person usually purchase facebook fans from various facebook vendors. and after fb vendors gathered fans for this person's fan page , he made charge back in paypal and take all paid money.

He just scammed me $1850 regarding this matter.

He gave me to gather 25000 fans (20000 random + 5000 targeted) for his facebook fan page. I have complete this work within 20 days, then after work complete he made charge back in paypal by claiming fraudulent money transfer from his credit card. I came to know from some other vendors also he doing same thing with them also. If any other bhw member also get scammed by this person, he can also share his info here.

2nd Person name is Antonio Pinto and his email id is bilubilu24@hotmail.com. He purchased Diamond package from my bhw social bookmarking service thread. Till now i have send him 4 reports. He also made charge back in paypal and claimed that fraudulent payment done from his credit card. He also send me email that he satisfy with my work and its quality.

So as i already received email from these two persons that they satisfy with my work and its quality, but still they made charge back in paypal. I am considering both as online fraud. And perhaps it is their regular work.

So beware of these two peoples.

And also if any one can share any info, how i can avoid these type of things in paypal, it will be a great help for me.

I have already done that, i have send all communication email matter to paypal. Right now paypal reviewing this.

sorry to say i think u lost this money if you are only relying on paypal.

you have evidence ur service was good, in my sales i sold clothing, the guy even sent me photos to show him wearing his replica items to show how proud of them he was, then 2 months yes 2 months later , after the event he bought the items for had finished, he did a charge back and pp paid it.

i tried to plead with paypal they paid the guy back out of my funds.

pp are the worse on the net for going with the seller, they see the buyer is always right, and we all know that is not 100% the case.

How can these people claim fraudulent money transfer and fraudulent credit card transaction unless someone actually hacked and logged into their accounts and initiated a payment transfer to you. I dont get it. They would have to prove that someone hacked/cracked their details in order to initiate payment to you. So all in all, its all bullshit and PP should be on your side unless they can prove otherwise.

Paypal is famous for leaning to the buyers side. Seller can be screwed over and over paypal don't give a shit.

I'm sorry to say you've no chance reclaiming it, you will also receive a chargeback fee from paypal. It's usually £17, not sure what the value is in your currency.

All you have to tell PP is you provided a service. And you automatically win. If they opened a dispute thats where you should have put SERVICE. Then the dispute is closed in your favor. I win all my cases like this.

I own a webhosting company. Iv had many people try to charge me back for hosting services via PP. As soon as they open a dispute i type SERVICE in the space provided. PP closes the dispute in my favor.

hey this is too much dude ? Why dont you use moneybrookers, Western Union if thts the issues in trusting these kind of people or best way is ask them to create their own paypal account and transfer money from their account to be safer thn using cc.

Yep, as suggested by others, in the dispute put service and give correct details. You should have your money back by PP.

I have been there several times before with ebay sales and services sales. Paypal is really bad about favoring with the seller.

On a side note, I am interested in facebook fan services. I have paid for fans in the past, but that was when the suggest to friends worked. So not sure the prices of the market anymore or how its done.

Not sure if it helps or matters, but the pages I would want to add more fans to already have over 5k fans/likes

I am in graphic design and mostly do logos, flyers etc. And have had this happen a couple times. Thanks for the tip

It is good practice to make the buyer write a BIG note describing what it is ..
that way later if they try to dispute it, paypal can see the note typed in by the user when they review the transaction.
something like: this is for a service that provides (describe your service) it is not a product that can be shipped etc etc . the more words the better I would say.

Accept Payment only from Paypal account, not from CC.

2nd thing tell your buyer to pay you by services option and pay only with payment note like "seo services payment" or "services payment". This will save you from CC chargebacks.

And my friend, why you haven't withdraw that money as Paypal Indian accounts have to withdraw it within 7 days.

Paypal Sucks...use Moneybookers no charge back.. I love moneybookers they dont have any receiving fees for personal. they only have minimal fees for Marchant account.

And I f@uck paypal suckers... Do not use paypal .... they have not any digital product control...

PayPal is terrible when it comes to the seller and the fact that you are selling "Digital Goods / Service"; I hope you get your cash back but if it's a large amount then I usually use (Like others have mentioned here) MoneyBookers.

The other thing that I sometimes do is the old 60 / 40 split whereby you will get them to send 40% of the payment and you will do 60% of the work and then once both sides are happy you can finish the job to 100 % each way

Obviously on forums like this ITrader is a good indication but *that's not foolproof* as wel all know

It happens to me few times..not with paypal but with Odesk. They dispute..I provide all evidence and Communications where clients saying He is Happy..and In End Last Month due to 5 dispute in 2010 from 78 clients My account was closed. and that is freaking too...The reason they gave me is non-sense.as I was having 5 bad feed backs and 73 Good feedback..I lost money..anyway,..Paypal is a tension always..I hope you get back money but it is not the case usually happens...

I just wish this was an alternative to Paypal. Google Checkout sucks as far as I can tell. So I think we are stuck with paypal.

If it's a chargeback then it's lost money.
And you not just lost that amount, but PP will charge you additional funds.

PP is good for buyers and scammers, and really dangerous for sellers.

I think it's common knowledge.

If they weren't such a **** , even then that's not much they could do about a chargeback.

Yes paypal sucks indeed, after my account has been suspended I called them to see what's happening and they restore my account.. the day after.. my account was again suspended. Paypal sucks hard if you try to make business from it..

I think "mikie46" is right, if you could provide a any proof to paypal as a service provider then you should win.

Here in UK we have had very bad experience of paypal chargeback with the physical goods delivery. Money goes back BUT we don't get the goods back. For past 2 years we have completely stopped the delivering if the shipping address <> Billing address. And if the order is over £100 we prefer talking to the person to his/her landline. This has reduced the chargeback a lot.

It can be verified from any country as long as you have a bank account! Whereas PP cant be verified in many country.

Thas real shitty man, I am sorry to hears it. I got scammed on the first moneyorder scams going around on ebay, buyer overpaid me by a hundred bucks and asked if I would just send cash back. I did, because the address was only like a hundred miles from my house, and it was going overnight. I went there, I waited for more activity, but the problem is that no-one ever came home, besides an old couple. Moral of the story is that if scammer can find a way to scam house, they will find way to scam PP.
