Hey guys, I just wanted to warn everybody about something that BeachBody is doing. Their products show up on a lot of affiliate networks so this could affect a lot of you.

In the past, I do not recall seeing this in their Terms and Conditions and I have talked with another marketer who doesn't remember seeing it either.

The Issue:
If you have an exact match domain with a beachbody product in it, you are probably going to be targeted by them. I'm not going to list their products because there are a lot, so go research if you're not sure.

Basically, if you have an EMD with their product and you are promoting them, you will get shut off by the affiliate network or you will get a cease and desist form them directly.

This wouldn't be a big problem if the company had specified this in their TOS initially. However, they seemed to have made a recent change and it is screwing over a lot of affiliates.

I'm not sure what they are up to, but we can only assume...

Yea, BB is really hard on the copyright stuff. I'm not sure what you are talking about, but I do know that in the terms for their coaches (Their mlm: Team Beach Body Coaches) you can't do anything with their name on it, you can't sell online or anything. I know several coaches that have been shut down and a few bootleggers who got in trouble trying to sell on ebay.

There just protecting there brand like any other serious business does. Nothing you can do about it.

If you had a product and all your affiliates did was take advantaged of your branding (by only targeting names of the product, company etc) wouldn't you do the same seeing as you should get the sales anyway, without having to pay an affiliate?

What an absolutely ridiculous reason to put a company on the shit list lol. Have they scammed you in any way? No they fucking havent. They have discovered that hundreds of affiliates and thieves are using their brand name to promote their products and sell copies on the internet. So they have taken measures to fix this.

People generally are not suposed to register domain names with the brands trademarks in them. How would you like it if you had spent millions in building up a brand name, only to find hundreds of pricks were piggybacking of the value of the brand to make themselves cash.

In terms of the affiliate program - The whole point of an affiliate program is to generate sales for the company that they wouldn't have the skill or know how to do for themselves. As their brand already generates money for them, it doesnt make sense for them to allow people to use the brand to generate sales for them and take a cut.

I created a domain with productnamereview.com and promoting one of their product,is this a problem?

What is it with the shitlist, this threads are supposed to be fore scammers who have lied and not kept their word or filled their commitment. THis section really should not have the post go live untill it is reviewed and/or responded too from both parties.

Way to many people like to bitch and be negative, its their product they can do what the hell they want - no ones forcing anyone to promote them.

I much more appropriate thread not in this section would be "what do you think of beach body' that allows peoples to post their opinion but dosent accuse or shine a negative light on them just cause you dont like the way they do things

Google "Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. v. Tabari" - it may help you.

Oh and did you know that walmartsucks.org and microsoftsucks.org too? :)

And in my opinion, any company that competes with its own affiliates is too stupid to deserve the clicks.
