SANTREX.NET ARE A SCAM

Its rare I call out a service provider publically, I prefer to sort out matters in private and not leave a lasting damaging mark on their name.

However, Santrex Hosting should be avoided at ALL costs.

This company demonstrates near daily a complete inability to manage and run hosting services at all levels. I say this based on customers virtual hosting being switched off for days at a time with no warning, migrated to new IPs with no warning, and the complete failure to respond with anything other than 'we will look into it' .

I can also talk on my own experiences with their VPS products in Russia, Germany, Luxembourg, and Holland. I picked Santrex due to their widespread nature. I mistakenly assumed that I would get some good redundancy from having backup VPS hosting in different data centres. I was wrong, there was not a week that went by when at least one VPS was not down for half a day or longer (usually the node down - suspect overselling). In some cases our VPS would go down for days at a time, or like clockwork every evening. These problems effected EVERY service we purchased.

Their technical support seems to be made up of trainee staff, and a single non trainee, who lacks the ability to do anything other than pass it to level 2 support. Tickets take days, in some cases weeks.

I note that their PayPal payments were blocked yesterday, usually a sign of problems ahead.

AVOID LIKE AN AIDS RIDDLED NEEDLE, THEY REALLY ARE THAT BAD.

Hahaha, i had a little bit of expierence with this hosting, the worse hosting company i have ever seen!! The support is CRAP!! Those ****ers even stole my 10$, bastards.

Keep away from this hosting company!! ( Highly Recommended )

Indeed , they suck hard! I had a server with them. It sucked so hard, their support was really slow too.

I once ordered a server with them, when I got it I looked at the server specs, half of what i ordered, so I got them back on support and asked them to take a look at the server, and confirm it was the one I had ordered, they agrred it was the one I had ordered and that the specs were exactly as ordered. So I took a screenshot and asked them to explain why the specs were not as advertised. They claimed I took a screenshot of another server.
Quickly dropped them.

That sucks. I´ve been through a similar experience with

They´re cheap, but suck. sites down for no reason, no customer support at all, a complete nightmare.

I had a VPS with them, it went down for 1 week without any reason. I emailed them numerous times but i never got any reply... Crap company

Tried them out once, service was down for hours every few days.

Horrid - I changed quickly. Was losing too much $$

That's why I really don't bother reviewing hosting providers here. I'm a dick, man. Everyone thinks they can rent a rack and open up shop as a hosting provider and have not a fucking clue how to do it correctly. I hate shitty hosting companies. Unlimited my ass.

Anywho, fair burn, fuck santrex.

I had the same experience with them back when I was using shared hosting, but now I have my own webhosting servers. When I decided to move over to a new host they even ended up suspending my account for too much traffic when it was no longer in use, and no getting any traffic.
