I sent him 550$ on 25 Feb., via paypal so he can send them to my bank account. With some other adjustments and cash for work, it became 590$ and he said he will sent 700$ as upfront of other deals. You know what? I STILL DON'T HAVE ANYTHING!!! Nor I got any transaction ids or proofs. Firstly he said he will do direct bank transfer via western union but when I called them, they said they don't do any direct bank transfer! So I told him but he denied that fact and said they do, I even confirmed 4 times! Then he said I don't know nor he gave me any code given by western union. So I asked him to send cash by Xoom and its been more than 8 days (after I said him to do it via xoom) and every time I contact him, he says - "I am going to go get it in the ATM, then it is ready within 20-30 mins"; "Probably before the night is over here"; "ask me in 2 hours" or "i will do it in 1 hour" and so on! Now what I want is my cash! It’s been 25 days and I can’t take it anymore!
I still guess that he is a nice person but 22 days is a long time to send cash. Here is the proof of my 550$ payment -

I think everyone should wait for Spud to get back in a few hours before this gets out of hand. Wait for him to respond.
It's not cool to get scammed but it is also not cool to stop up someone else's business by killing their reputation.
So I suggest everyone take a min, cool off, and wait for his response.

On 25 feb., nothing was solved! And now i am even ready to get refund at paypal and he isnt sending that also! I was just talking to him about withdrawal system and he himself said that he can easily help me! He also havbe to pay me for the work i did. All i have is $40+$25=$65 which he sent me as a bait.

If you don't want your reputation talked about in a negative light, then you need to go above and beyond for your customers. If you don't like it, then do not sell your services on this forum.

We are all intelligent enough to figure out after 25 days that something is not on the up and up.

I do business with people from this forum all of the time, and I WANT to know who is on the level at all times. It saves me and others a lot of headaches in the end.

Footfall, I don't know why or how you are involved in this, but your best bet is to let the parties and the moderators handle it.

You ought to speak for yourself. And I have business with both of these people. And there is definitely a lot more going on here than is being said. So as I said, I suggest that we wait to hear from both parties so super nubs don't start chiming in with stuff that has nothing to do with the situation.

Sounds familiar to me. I paid him around 60 USD for CL-Posting. Now its months after that. He always said the ads are flagged and he will repost. But I didnt get one single visit from any post. So dont know.

At some point i read its "now homeless"-Thread and treated the paid money as a donation...

My lesson in that... always start with small payments to people you dont know...

2 weeks? enough time for him to withdraw and run away lol

I thought that he was a guy in need and tried to help him by putting up a video on how to use him to gain some profit but there is no way in hell he should be scamming fellow BHers for money.
He gave me a similar offer but I refused and transferred the money myself. Thank god I did not take his offer.

Varun owes me and several other people articles/SEO work. I have waited almost 3 months.

He kept stating he would get the articles to the other person and I and to no avail. So I asked for my money back until he could provide.

As for everyone who has CL postings.. I plan on starting those on Monday, now that I have cable internet at my new apartment. I let everyone know the situation. If I missed you, I greatly apologize.

Varun has been dicking me and a few other members on the board and I kept my money until he provided. He offered to help me with SEO and articles.

He even wrote me that once he got the money that he would start the articles but after 3 months of essentially waiting. I got my money.

He kept promising and promising... No avail.

I in NO WAY SCAMMED Varun.. If anything, he scammed me by making false promises over and over again.. for 3 MONTHS, He had my money.

Varun owes me so many articles and he owes another member on this thread services. The other member felt that I should hold on to it all until it was sorted out.

He would send me bits and pieces, but nowhere near what is owed.

As far as Oyeah22, I have talked to you and your business partner letting them know what the situation is.

At one point, I told Varun, that he had 24 hours.. He NEVER complied.

I am prepared to get the heat from this but those who know me and have/are dealing with me. Should know, I have been in constant communication.

Yes, I went through a hard time but I have communicated and let people know what was going on.

I was going to send the money to Varun via Xoom once he gave me all the articles but he has failed to do this.

He has not done this and my wife and I are left scrambling trying to fulfill what I have asked Varun to do for the past 3 months.

Your work is complete a long time ago and delivered. You always said that the payment is stuck due to your bank. I did what i promised to you and you have no right to keep my cash. Stop ignoring me on chat and give a reply.

Varun - So are you stating that ALL the work that was agreed to was sent and already in Spuds posession? And if so, in what timeframe after you had originally agreed on the transaction.

Because, it sounds like there are conflicting stories and Spud is not the only one who is claiming you haven't done the required work.

He had to pay me and he offered that he can send cash to my bank so i sent my own 550$ to him so he can send me (on 25 feb. 2010). I paid Varun for SEO services, keyword research, article writing, article posting, squidoo lenses, hub pages. 21 articles written. 16 for other sites, 5 for mine. I paid him on the 11th of Feb and the work was due the 18th of Feb. I did not receive a single article until 3/10.

I am currently sitting at 11/21 articles completed and over a month late. Still owes me social bookmarking, blog commenting and more.

I have been pretty nice about this whole thing, no shitlist no anything.
I have all convos saved, paypal trans, all the proof in the world, etc.

So Varun, just finish the work that you have promised and he's going to give you the money back.

I have to say I have been working with Spudjnr now for over a month we have been doing a jv on something, he asked me to do the work he told me once the work was completed he would pay me my money, I did my end of the work and I was paid for the work. I have had no problems getting paid, he told me I would be paid and I was paid, in fact he was so happy with the work I did and I was happy with payment we made a deal to continue working.

I don't usually do jv's with anybody, I usually do my own work, but I spoke to Spud and thought I would trust my instincts, and it paid off.
