What Happened:

FBPRO contacted me and offered to invite 110,000 American facebook users to my group and send me screenshots as proof for $150. We discussed it for a little while and I paid him $150 through paypal. After I paid him I tried to reply and tell him that I had sent payment, but he had already changed his settings so that he couldn't receive IMs. He had told me that he would be able to have it done and the proof sent within 3-5 hours so I waited until the next day and still no emailed proof and I still couldn't message him.

At this point I knew that he had probably taken my money and ran so filed a paypal dispute. It was only after I filed it that he started to communicate back with me on paypal so that I didn't win it automatically. He said in our paypal communication that he had just sent proof to me and made up a bunch of lies about how I must be scamming lots of people this way and then escalated it to a claim himself. I'm assuming this was so that I couldn't communicate any more on paypal and reply to what he had said about me. He sent me 1 screenshot of him about to invite about 3000 people to my group and called this "proof" that he had invited 110,000. I contacted paypal and gave them the evidence that I had from our messages and the one screenshot he sent me.

A few days later the paypal claim was decided in my favor and I was refunded my $150 but FBPPRO reported my personal facebook account (my only account, I've used for 3-4 years and keep in touch with hundreds of my real friends with) and it was then disabled and I can't get it undisabled.

By the way, he claimed that since my group was growing that it was proof that he had invited 110,000 friends, but my group was already growing at that pace and had gone viral already with the members inviting their friends. I saw no impact in the numbers of people joining the group each day.

This guy has tried to scam me, but even worse was that after he was unsuccessful he got revenge by having my FB account disabled. One of my best friends died a couple months ago and now I'll never be able to see his facebook page again. The hundreds of friends I've had over the last several years will have to be slowly re-added again if I get a new account and the hundreds of pictures I've been tagged in, I'll probably never see again.

This guy will not only try to take your money, but if he fails will try his best to ruin your life. He's the reason why I don't trust people on this forum any more and haven't been on much since then.

Why would you start a group with your personal account? Never mess around with your personal account if your doing marketing.....

However, OP, why did you upfront the entire fee? Usually you pay milestone payments, like 50% when he has 50,000 fans etc.

Also, its sad that you lost your FB account but what is sadder is that you consider that as your life being ruined.

I thought that my account would be deleted for using multiple accounts and I didn't really worry too much about the groups, but now I see why I should have. I am probably going to start a new personal account and a different account for marketing, but it will take me a very long time to get either of them to where I was before. As an American college student, facebook is very important to our social lives, if you're from another culture you might not understand that. My life isn't ruined, but it has caused me a lot of trouble.

I paid the whole amount up front because I've done it before with smaller amounts of money for smaller amounts of invites and didn't have any problems.

khirad: How do you know that? And if that's true, remember that this guy probably has a few facebook accounts and could have reported me from several of them.

You got left neg iTrader almost 3 weeks ago by FBPRO stating that you conned him. Assuming it's the same incident, why post now?

wow this is out of nowhere, I'll be happy to send copies of all our correspondence between me and this guy, he successfully got PayPal to think that i did not do the work. this guy expected 50k people to join his group from 110k invites i told him that inviting to the niche he had this would not happen, he agreed and paid the money.

I often get an error message saying error 502 or something like that and it has stopped me from logging in for a day before now, i responded to his claim that he opened hours after he paid me, i escalated the claim and sent proof etc but they chose his side, i do believe there is a thread about it somewhere. I even spoke to a mod about it called gimmieforfree and he told me to write a shit list but i decided against it as i have better things to do with my time.

i have copies of all the messages we sent to each other, this guy has no idea of how to market and had spam galore on his group, i should have known not to do business with him but i had a target that day and the $150 i would have made from him would have put me over it so i guess it was my own greed. this guy probably used his own account to promote stuff and as i say it was so spammie it was bound to get shut down eventually, lol this happened over a month ago i think so I'm surprised it has lasted this long.

I must admit i may have given myself a bit of a bad rep for being so short with people who message me asking for all sorts of this, i assure everyone i will hold my tongue when it comes to commenting on posts and making my opinion known, i see the benefit in keeping my nose out.

This is all starting to make sense now. Just because you sent invites it doesn't mean people will automatically join. I'm glad you posted your side of the story perhaps we should implement a reverse shit list for people who start shit list threads unwaranted.

Its funny the only 2 people I have successfully done business with on this forum are professionals, one was a solicitor, well a credit expert from NY, I have populated his company group and am making him 4 or 5 more to get better key words, and a very successful MLM guru who has paid for group promotion and has recommended me to lots of his down-line.

I'm not going to flame anyone but a lot of the time i get people coming to me thinki9ng i will get them 1000 fans for $5 just because they have seen other sell at that price. I'm a serious promoter who it seems can only deal with serious people, like i say no offense to any of you here who have felt like i have dissed you or been arrogant, but there is only so much time in the day and i like to try and fit as much in as possible.

What kind of proof did you send to paypal? You didn't send me any proof other than one screenshot of about 3000 people highlighted on the invite page to my group and I'm sure you only sent that so you could tell paypal that you sent me proof.

Not being able to log in doesn't explain why I couldn't send you IMs as soon as I paid you. There's a setting on these forums to make it so that people can't IM you: "If you do not want to send or receive private messages, you may disable the private messaging system."

After this whole thing I stopped coming onto these forums because I don't know if I can trust people on here any more, but I decided to come on and see if he's scamming other people and I decided to warn others that might fall into his trap.

No, it was over 12 hours I believe and I just filed the dispute because I had no way of contacting you and wanted to have the dispute in place before you could transfer the money and run for the hills. You could have sent me the proof you promised and the dispute would have been over.

I told you about how I had paid for services like this in the past and with the viral nature of my group(s) I should be getting tons of members from 110k invites. After he claimed to invite 110k people, I was actually getting the same or even LESS new members per day as I already was.

Another thing I didn't tell everyone: During the dispute, FBPRO said that if I had wanted proof of the invites he would have charged me $400 instead of $150. He said multiple times before I sent him payment that he would send me proof.

There is nothing to sort out, is is a very old issue that i was done with, i did explain fully that is why i was so shocked when paypal ruled in his favor, but oh well it was only $150 if that ruined his life then oh well.

yeah i have seen that misunderstandings has been the main issue when stuff like this happens people should talked throughly what the service will get them and what to expect also as said above don't pay the full price until ya get the results you want.

but how could anyone show the proof that he invited x amount of members to group/page ? I don't see how's that possible, there is no any FB notification of any kind that would say "you've just invited xxx members to xy group" and that's why I haven't used this kind of services. It's pretty easy to find yourself in problems and argues here..

Well I told him what i could do he agreed to it, and if he could not contact me he should have at least waited 24 hours before trying to do anything as drastic as he did. as soon as i logged in to my outlook in the morning and saw i had a dispute on paypal i said to my wife and i quote, " come look at this I told you that TW*T would do this didn't I" she laughed, i was really pissed, as i knew there was something fishy but i let my own greed and love of money get in the way.

My last project was paid for by a postal order, it even had the part that the person is supposed to keep attached so i could have just cashed it and done nothing, but the thing is I'm not like that and I have that guy recomending me on a daily basis to do work for his downline, plus he even had me log into his account and set up the group for him, he gave me his password email etc, lol i could have totally fuc*ed him, but again that is not who I am.

I hope people read down far enough to see just how much of a dick this guy is.

We agreed on A SCREEN PRINT, please not A screen print not screen prints, i told him that i would do it for the first one to show how they are invited but i use a bot and i said i would not be able to provide screen prints for all as this would mean doing it manually, this is why i said if that was the case the price would have been $400, as i charge for my time, again I'm not from Bangladesh and I don't sell services for a dollar!!! my time is worth money and if someone does not want to pay my fees then they can go elsewhere. I'm sure there are people offering a similar thing for less, but we all know what type of shopping experience we get from wal mart/asda as apposed to Harrods or waitrose. you pay for what you get, if you want a ford then pay less if you want an Austin Martin then you pay more.

NO, you stated screenshots (plural) as proof in our discussion as I have quoted above. You did NOT say that you wouldn't be able to provide proof for the rest of them. Instead of replying to what I've said about our dispute you just keep changing the subject and bragging about how you're such a pro, but the only thing you have proved is that YOU are the tw*t. I hope everyone can tell by his attitude that he has no respect for anyone but himself.
