Please someone who have experience with Captcha Sniper should answer this.

I want to know if the Captcha Sniper crashes, will it stop GSA from working while running projects? Or if it does not stop GSA from working will it use the backup captcha service such as Deathbycaptcha?

    Thanks

Just thought I would update the thread in case you haven't seen what I've posted on the captcha sniper thread, but for those of you who were having 'hanging' or tesseract 'crashing' issues, it has been fixed! An update will be published shortly.

    Quick question

Is there a way to write spintax comments quickly ? is there software or something?
instead of manually typing in the "{|}" code and coming up with {hi|hello} {nice blog|good article}?

anyone know quicker ways, is there software that does this too that can semi-automate the process?

Lets say I want to pause submissions for xxx minutes after, for example, 10 verifications. Would SER take this into consideration when actually submitting by only doing 10 submissions at a time, and then checking for verifications before proceeding with more submissions until it reaches 10 verified? Or does it do a few hundred submissions and then check for verifications, perhaps causing the amount of verified links to exceed your required amount?

Also, is the lapsed/remaining pause time remembered when updating and restarting SER?

    I use this page (can' t put a url in directly...) w w w . text hat. c 0m

Just put a list of the words you want on each line and it puts the spintax around the words. Doesn't do the spinning for you, tho.

You can also use SpinnerChiefII. The free version does what you ask for if you use the default thesaurus file.

GSA has this built into it already! (although you might need a TBS or SpinnerChief account...) while editing a project, click on the "Tools->Spin Convert. You can either create spintax line by line, or separated by commas.

Can you suggest to Sven to have a 2 or 3 step process for platforms that requires email activation?
    Step 1 - Account creation
    Step 2 - Email confirmation
    Step 3 - Posting

    Other suggestions:
Re-use existing accounts made from GSA to post again in later time.

Load avatars for platforms that support it? (forum, social networks, etc)

    Thanks
Are you saying you want to add extra steps to the software for platforms that require email activation? You want it to create accounts then manually click a button to confirm emails then click something to start posting? If that's what you want I don't think it would ever be implemented because that's the complete opposite of what the software is about. You're suppose to be able to setup a campaign and let it run without any interaction. Adding extra steps would be going in the opposite direction.

For reuse existing account information you can do that now by going to project options ->Tools->import->Account Data from other Projects.

Sven said right now he's not really interested in adding avatars. (maybe in the future)

It would be nice if the pop up window that asks for captcha entry showed what project it was asking for. Right now I have a lot of projects in one of my instances and I would prefer not to go through every one of them to find which one is asking. I want to change it to Choose Random of course. But I have no idea which project that window is for.
This will be added in the upcoming update.

Hmm I've never thought about this. I'll get a definite answer and get back to you.

EDIT: Sven said you should be safe with this. The lapsed/remaining pause time is only remembered if using, "pause project for when XX submissions/verificatins reached a day".

ive noticed a slight bug in 3.61, when going to settings -> advanced -> tools -> search online for urls and trying to add more than one predefined footprints, each time u add a new one, the old one gets overwritten (meaning u can only search for one engine type at a time), previously, each new engine selection would add to the footprints to search for, so u could search for say all video engines at once. can anyone else confirm and if so, s4nt0s, can u forward the bug to sven? thanks

@Ozzmannor: He's damn fast. When you send him detailed descriptions and tactics, he usually implements it within the next 24 hours.
    @Hunar: Absolutely
@Sven (if you read it): Thanks for improoving the debug mode step by step Even with such tiny things like colors

@All: Does anybody here know if there is a possibility to stop huge target url list, copy the "todo-file" away and import a much shorter one? And after this continue the backuped file?

I've got still performance problems with this option. But try the "search site lists online" function. This is impressiv. I did a run trough about 1mio pages in the last 12 hours and got now a list (had to remove the duplicates myself) of about 45k target urls.

which platforms (if any) allow you to post image links with specified alt tags? Also, does this support multi level (nested) spintax on anchor text and url level?

I totally agree, a best practices list would be awsome ! I try & go through the threads in the evening after work & copy useful bits into a text file but it's slow going as I make the changes as I read about them .....

I don't want to be arrogant (and ask sometimes silly questions too), but I think it's good that people only get the gems when they are able to take at least this effort and CONTRIBUTE too. It wouldn't be good, if SER would be the perfect one-button-pushing-no-brain-needed tool. Then it would die! But there is a chance for everyone (who REALLY want) to get into this stuff. The named threads are covering everything you need to be successful. I was even able to get out a page for several (local very competitive) keywords out of the sandbox (I failed before with every other method and with the help of other so called "guru"'s).

Beside playing around with a lot SEO tools I ever tought that I'm afraid that I never went deep into Xrumer. But I see in this a chance to use a tool (SER) optimized for these times as good as Xrumer was/is. It just needs a little bit effort.

We also should feel lucky that there are people around like S4nt0s, Hunar, M3ownz, Lee (our talented auto-update-notification), Mod Blackhit (who provided the blacklist and looks like playing around with it too) and lot others who are really helpfull. We should give them a little bit respect and try to get most out of the available information and don't cry for a dummy proof guide.

Just add all your footprints in notepad and copy&paste all rows at once to GSA. works for me.

wow, I didn't expect much from this and I'm doing a test run right now. I've got 3k MediaWiki url within 20 minutes (there will be many dupes I guess). This is überfantastic

I've to ask Sven for an option to save the unknown engines as well to review them with "SickPlatformReader".

There will be a lot dupes, but that's easy to clean. I think it's extremly usefull to find new urls. I'm currently running trough a huge list, so I wasn't able to check the quality. But I think 45k should give a few backlinks anyway

I think anyway scraped data should be saved in any way. SER is improoving from day to day (thanks to Sven) but if you are currently running a project then you have to set all submitted links to the blacklist and try it again to use all newly implemented features or they are viewed as "processed" forever. I think this could also save some time for the future. Perhaps a flag with what setting that they are failed and if there was a bug or an improovement what can solve this, to go for the url again.

I'm running the trial on my home computer and I want to get the most out of it and test,

what is the best settings for the number of threads to use?

I have private proxies that ill be using for posting only? (or should i select for everything), on speed test.net it says my download speed is 4.92Mbps , ping 23ms , my pc is i7, 16gb ram

what would you think would be the most efficient/quickest?

    Hi,

Your PC specs are great like 16 gig gig ram, i7, etc is more then enough but the internet speed is pretty low. 4.92 Mbps isn't that great as far as internet speeds go. Maybe start around 10-15 threads and then increase from there.

How many private proxies do you have? If you have a decent amount you can switch it to use them for everywhere and then check the box under the proxies that says, "custom time to wait between search engine queries" and set it for 5 to 10 seconds. Also depending on PR and OBL, etc will also effect the speed of how fast your links are built.

I was playing around with the designer/trainer mode of another software and I was able to post to 49 sites using the Geeklog footprint. Domain PR of 3 to 7 with OBL not more than 50. If I had used a less stricter filter, there were 3,000 Geeklog sites I could have submitted to. A lot of the Geeklog sites don't use captchas so hopefully some of these platforms will get added to GSA in a future update.

Can anyone confirm how SER goes about selecting a category for submissions to article and site directories?

If you have entered a list of possible categories in the category field of the project data window, does it go through them all during the course of a single submission to look for a match, or does it try to find a single random one from your list for each submission and move on if it isn't found, resulting in a failed submission?

I ask because, regardless of my 'skip', 'choose random', 'ask user' settings, whenever I repeat click my test button it seems to rotate through my listed categories, many of which aren't relevant to the url being submitted. Furthermore, this happens even if I try to pre-select a specific category for the submissions (i.e. when I know the exact category for a specific engine). Is the same random action applied by SER when actually doing the submissions?

Any insight into the way SER actually handles the above would be appreciated, and I dare say having a better understanding of this will enable everyone to increase the number of successful submissions they get.

I don't think internet speed is a limiting factor with GSA, I used to run 120 threads on 6GB, i5 with only around 6mb link

    I've run 8 threads,

with my own spintax'd comments for the past 8 hours on
general blogs and keywordluv blogs with private proxies,

*skip more sites with: 100 outgoing links
*skip sites with a pr below : 1
avoid using the same domain url : twice

and i checked all the search engines,

so far after 8 hours, 40 submitted, 38 verified

is that normal or bad? how can I improve this?

I used about 200 keywords too

Don't use all SE, because some of them are broken or you get only the first 10 results. Just use the main SE from US/UK/Int instead.
If you want to parse a list of blog sites than make use of the site list scraper (options -> advanced -> tools -> search online for url) with the footprints of some blogs + keywordluv. Once all footprints are scraped you can load them with a right-click on your project and choose to import urls from file.

Edit: 8 threads seems pretty low. Try to use more and test how many threads you can use.

3.62 - new: added a quick script manual (might have poor English as my first and
second language is not English, maybe someone feels like checking it?)
    - new: ability to use new engines by using the popup menu ->modify project
    - new: options -> advanced -> tools -> search online for urls -> add predefined Footprints
is no longer clearing the already added footprints
    - new: proper use wiki syntax for html links
    - fix: "toggle word wrap" was not working in project edit
    - fix: minor bug in email verification
    - fix: "Open Folder" in options->advanced->site list did not work

Sven said he wasn't going to be able to get the official platform editor out for a bit so he spent all day writing documentation. Hopefully this can help some users get an understanding of how the scripting works.

Hi gents, thanks for all the great information in this post, I follow it everyday to try and make sure I get the most out of this great product.

I have a question for which I haven't seen any information. Apologies in advance if it has been asked /answered before (i did try the search function!).

I am trying to de penguinise a site by adding it to GSA and just using a load of random anchors but within the anchors I also want to add naked urls and root domain urls even for inner pages. The problem is, the site I am going to do this on has 900+ pages so I am going to use the crawl online function and add anchors only once (all de-optimised, non kw anchors)

I think (and i will probably need correcting), that I can add a token %URL% in the anchor spintax for the naked URL. Can someone help me with that token / point me to a place that has all the tokens?

    Cheers

Yes you can use the %URL% in the anchor spintax. Here are the list of tokens:

%NAME% will be replaced with the a random users name
%EMAIL% will be replaced with the a random email (auto generated)
%WEBSITE% will be replaced with the users website url
%BLOGURL% will be replaced with the target url you are about to submit to
%BLOGTITLE% will be replaced with the page title of the target site

These are all added because scrapebox used them. Our program however can use all kinds of other stuff like
%keyword% - uses random keyword from project settings
%spinfile-<filename>% - takes a random line in that file
    %source_url% - referrer page
    %targeturl% - same as %blogurl%
    %targethost% - just the http://www.domain.com without a path
    %random_email% - same as %email%
%random-<min>-<max>% - a random number between min and max
%spinfolder-<folder>% - takes content of a random file in that folder
%filer-<file>% - takes content of that file
%url_domain% - just the domain name of your url
    %url% - your url
    %?????% anything from the project input boxes e.g. %anchor_text% or %website_title% or %description_250% ...

    special variables for blogs:
%meta_keyword% - takes a keyword from target meta tags
    %blog_title% - same as %blogtitle%

    special variables for image commenting:
%image_title% - the name of the image you comment on (sometimes it is sadly the filename only as some webmasters dont set a ti

Actually, it use to take even more time to fill out projects because it required address info, countries, usernames, passwords, etc. Once you create a few of them and get the hang of it, you can do them pretty fast.

For project options, you can speed this up by simply creating a project and setting the project options you want, like PR, OBL, Search engines, etc. then you click the tools button and go to export > options. Now whenever you create a new project and want to use those same options you can import them into the new project. This will save you time with having to fill out project options every time.

Is there a list of all the log message, I'm having trouble deciphering some.

So for it looks like the format []#/# MESSAGE and URL

What does the + and - inside the[] mean as well as the #/#? Also, is there a list of all the MESSAGES and what it means? Like when I imported some auto approve urls, it says already parsed? What does that mean or when was it parsed since I just put it in?

one last thing, is there a skype group?

hey s4nt0s, just wondering if sven mentioned anything about the bug that started a couple versions ago with regards to importing URLs (options -> advanced -> tools -> import urls (identify...) -> file), it no longer identifies any urls, all are being registered as unknown. to test it, i went back to a previously imported list and ran it again, what previously resulted in ~8k urls identified, now results in 0 :-/

I could have sworn I sent this to him before and he said there wasn't a bug, but now that I'm testing it again myself I see that there is definitely something wrong and nothing is getting identified.
