I downloaded Opera 10 Beta about a week ago and one of the features it has is "Turbo Browsing" This actually connects you to one of opera's proxy server. I tried to retrieve my IP using http://whatismyipaddress.com/ and got something like this:

Proxy Server IP address: 94.246.126.146
Proxy Server Details: t09-03.opera-mini.net

Proxy Reports IP as: xxxxxxxxx
(Unable to confirm.)

( xxxxxxxxx was actually my real IP but I got this with every proxy I tried).

So what do you think? Does this work?

No not really. Because:

1. 1000 other people have probably already had the same idea as you and abused the proxy already and its probably blacklisted from all the popular sites you were thinking of using it on.
2. The fact that it could still see your ip means it was not an anonymous proxy, so its going to be quite useless for posting on CL etc.

Yea buddy public socks never are worth a shit. My suggestions would be to go paid private private or possibly a VPN with dynamic ip.
