Stupid Proxy problem, Need help. Need proxies but a noob at this. see what I did

Ok guys, I want to make some more accounts at a forum and also on some web 2.0 sites for which I need proxies. I have outsourced the work to some but at $1/account I think I'm wasting $30+ a day. All the work is done within 1 hour and all the accounts the outsourced party makes work.

I learnt how to use proxy in mozilla. This is what I do :

Get a list of proxy from google or from here
Check it with charon for being good or bad
Use the good proxies to change the network settings of mozilla
use the 234.4.23.242 as the IP and 1080 or whatever as the Port
OK the two dialogue boxes
go to google or cmyip but the page doesn't even load

I am stuck at this, I think that what I do is somewhat correct but I am missing something. I am a complete noob but have read some threads before posting this. Please point out what I am doing wrong. Also where can I get good proxy lists that have many good proxies.

Plz don't ignore this thread guys, I am in a fix for a long time now. I really need some1 to hold my hand and take me through this ocean of ostacles in using proxies...........lol

Ok,

You said you were changing your ip manually through mozilla right?

When you enter the ip like you said and the port you need to make sure there
is a check in the box below that says to use proxy server with all protocols.

Don't put anything in the in the two text boxes below and don't put a check in the automatic proxy configuraion url.

Click Ok or apply if it asks.

Try this and let me know if it works.

I did what you said but with no results. I want to use proxies but can't and therefore am stuck at work. please help me guys

thanks I=lov=india but many people use hide my ip and I cannot risk getting my account banned

See what you saying, Virus. Had the same problem AWB.

Don’t remember exactly what was the reason, but I think you have to double check you proxies. The Elite Proxy Switcher can do the job for you. EPS can check the working proxies, as well as rotate them. Much better then change them manually.
