    Hi,

i have a dedicated server running centos and with 28 IPs so i would like to use them for IM tools but i can't find any straight to the point tutorial on the net for this ? I would like to setup socks5 to work on each IP.

On linux you can also do it using SSHD server. '22' is SSHD port in my example.

    ssh -p 22 -D *:1080 username@server.hostname.com
You simply create a screen and log in using any valid shell account using the above example. That will bind a SOCKS 4/5 proxy on all available interfaces (SSHD built-in feature)

You may want to change the default port though, otherwise it will be just a matter of time until my proxy scanning system will find your proxies

PS. If you need to restrict who can access your proxy, you need to do that using iptables. Please bear in mind that without doing so, the proxy will be open to whole world.

Using that works, however when sending emails and connecting to smtp servers it seems to leak the root servers IP address and the proxy ip is absent from headers. Is there a solution to that?
