Firefox private surfing?
Sorry, if this is in the wrong section...
I just tried this, and it still shows my IP addy and location.
It says that in private surfing my service provider and employer
still see web pages I surf .. So, why even use it?
I have something else that is not showing my location only
that I am using firefox and windows 7, but it keeps changing
my IP from Russia to Netherlands to Norway .. Poland etc
This doesn't seem good if I want to work on one account
Can't I just take one of these IP addys and manually put
it in so I can work on one account then change it to another
for another account and so on?
I think I remember where it goes .. now let me see...
OK, so I am guessing these ips are proxies :-/
Why can't I just take one and put it manually in and us
them for each of my accounts?
They are obviously working ones. Right?
What happens, if I put someone elses IP address in manually?
It won't work right? Just something I was wondering about

Re: Firefox private surfing?
Private surfing means that nothing is registered on the hard drive that you are using, that's all -- no cookies, no cache files, no temporary files, etc. If you want to hide your IP or to prevent your computer from sending certain information, then private surfing is not for you.

Re: Firefox private surfing?
Private surfing is basic (ie. you are using a shared computer, and don't want people to see the history of the sites you visited). It won't help you stay anonymous, because your ISP can still see your traffic. I suggest a VPN depending on what you are planning to do.

My plan is to take over the world.
Will a VPN help me in getting this done?
damn! I been reading all this too, I just forget
it all when I go and try it
I really have to stop getting side tracked with BBing stuff
OK, I am sticking with this site for at least a few days
without getting into anything else
Thank you,
John
