Hi guys,

i need your urgent help, I have a problem connecting to a site through my VPS. I have got XEN VPS 128MB of ram and I'm using CentOS 64-bit OS. I have installed pptp on my vps and i can connect to any sites using with ip 74.11.44.57 without have any problems, but my trouble is when I use a different IP's something is like 74.11.44.19, 74.11.44.3 and so on. When I tried to connect on that site I use www.neobux.com, there are no response and I'm not really sure what the real trouble is. I can connect to that site using with an IP 74.11.44.57 without have any problems, but not for any other IP's that come with random numbers at the end.

Can you tell me why the site I tried to connect did not response?

Any one can tell me why and what the problem is? :(

Just check after some moments. If the problem is not solved just cantact your vps supporter. I am sure they will help you.

Asking my vps provider that will do nothing to help. However, I have found it werid because when I reinstall the OS and use the IP 74.11.44.19 instead of using 74.11.44.57, I can connect to that site without have any problem but when I tried to use the IP 74.11.44.57 to connect to that site, it doesn't work. It is an oppsite as the other way round.

When I used to reinstall the OS and use the IP 74.11.44.57, it worked but if I wish to connect to that site using with different IP's, it would not work unless if I reinstall the OS and change the server main IP.

I guess something got to do with the firewall rule issue?

If so please can you help me to fix it?

You mention a lot of IP addresses. I can only assume that you have permission to use them, other wise this is probably the reason it will not work. So assuming you have permission to use those IP's...

You haven't really given a lot of information and again I'm going to assume your pptp configuration is correct. But it sounds like your not restarting the network service after changing the IP.

I don't know if your using a gui or not but I would always do this using a command line.

You need to log in as root then type 'setup' and navigate to 'network settings' change the IP and then 'Save & Exit'. Once your back at the command line you need to type 'service network restart'. You'll see some messages about Eth0 down/stop and then Eth0 up/start. You will now be using the new IP address.

Just my 10 cents, that IP-range has been blocked by firewall.
