Ok, before you start loading thousands of proxies into your proxy manager, your going to want to make sute your settings are correct. So on the main page of Scrapebox, select Settings > Adjust Timeout Settings and change the Proxy Harvester Timeout to 60 Seconds, click Apply.

Then select Settings > Adjust Maximum Connections and change Proxy Harvester to 100, click Apply.

Now your ready to load up your proxy sources into ScrapeBox and start scanning for proxies.

Download this text file, it contains the urls of 482 valid proxy sources. Each proxy source will contain anything between 10-30,000 individual proxies. *see note at bottom.

Open the file, Select All and copy it to your clipboard. Now go the the Proxy management section of ScrapeBox. Click Harvest Proxies > Add Source > From the clipboard. If you already had lots of proxy sources in your Scrapebox then see my note at the bottom about easily managing duplicate sources.

Click Start and your done.

This list will find get you 339815 Proxies from that search.

Now the first thing your going to want to do is remove duplicate proxies from your list. So click the "Cleanup" button in your proxy manager and select "Remove duplicate Proxies"

Now you have 75109 proxies that either work or worked at some time recently.

The next thing to do is to check them to find out how many are actually working. Dont go thinking that your going to end up with 50k proxies, cos that just never happens, chances are you will end up with between 500-1500 depending on your location. But this is the nature of proxies, some last for months, some only last for days.

Now with those settings I gave you at the start of the thread, it should take about 6 hours to scan through with a good connection, so either do this while you sleep or while your out of the house doing stuff.

Once the scan is complete, click Cleanup and Remove all failed proxies.

*note - If you want to add more sources, go to pastebin.com and search for things like "proxy" & "proxies". Be aware that some low life is spamming pastebin with adf.ly links to bullshit proxie lists, so dont bother following any adf.ly links or anything that says "proxy list is at this url *spam link here*"

Also, to check that you dont have any duplicate sources, go here and paste your newest proxy sources into that list along with the content from your original Scrapebox sources file, which is located in your ScrapeBox folder Scrapebox > Confirguration > userproxysources.txt (remember to make sure all your urls start http://example.com and not http://www.example.com - If you have a mixture of both, you wont remove all duplicates. You can do this in 1 click with the replace function in notepad.)

ya but there are some decent lists ive found before that last a few hours at least.. whats the point of doing all of this if they are all dead by the time its done scanning?

Great post, another good way to find more sources is to take a list of good proxies and then search each individual proxy in Google to find other sites it is posted on.

This is just a method to find and add sources. You may find that your IP is blocked by many of the proxies out there. But for some countries it will be different and they would be allowed, also once you have blasted a proxy you will find that your IP gets blocked by the proxy owner if it gets monitored.

If you know of sources that update more often you can add them to you harvester and only select them when you harvest. So you only get your newly found proxies and not the 300,000 other proxies.

A good thing will be to remove all forums pages, blogs posts, Pastbin links, ... And all "static" lists.
Keep only regulary updated websites (eg. for blogs take RSS feed).

Otherwise just search this footprint on Google and get 150 000 proxies lists, but of course most are already dead.

funny, everytime I use pastebin to find proxies, even in the last 24 hours, they are usually lists that we fried here first, and somebody pasted them.

Because some of us were cruising old AA lists posted here to scrape and find some sites that have longevity and ranking (OBL linking ones) in them so I could stalk them and then follow their linking. didn't mean to upset anyone. But the "old burned out garbage" list search had me reading a few older threads, and out of honest conversation I posted, and as I stated, I did a pastebin search today for some proxies, and when I reduced it to 24 hrs, I got only BHW proxy shares from this morning and nothing else.
