Is YAPH the best option for proxy hunting?

I've been looking into using Yet Another Proxy Hunter (YAPH) in conjunction with Proxychains to scan / hunt for open http proxy servers. However, I noticed that most of the information on this program is usually 5-6 years old.

Does anyone know of a better proxy hunter / scanner?

does scrapebox harvester actually scan IPs for proxy servers or does it scrape the web for lists?

Thanks proxygo. Scrapebox harvester would probably not work for me then. I need proxies that have had little to no abuse. This is why I have decided to start scanning for my own.

I am also interested in this. yaph is old but I see no reason why it wouldn't work any more. I'm trying to figure out how to configure it.

It looks good, but its a command line tool, setup appears not to be easiest for linux amateur ( would welcome some graphical interface linux tool

postcd thankyou for dredging up a thread from 2011
