Just a quick question/confirmation: SOCKS proxies work for any program that utilizes any port, while HTTP proxies only work for port 80? Does that mean that if I was hosting a web server while running on a SOCKS proxy, the web server's IP would change to that of the SOCKS proxy? Wouldn't that cause a conflicting port problem?
Edit: I know my reply is two months late, I hope this wouldn't be considered grave digging for a "sticky" thread.
