Yeah, as others said it does require some technical knowledge but if you've played around with any *NIX computers before then it should be a piece of cake. Great guide!

setting up squid is the easy part, the OP was a great simple way of getting squid installed. The issue is finding providers that will give you c-blocks of IPs at a cheap rate.

Example, many "exclusive providers" give you an exclusive IP for $2.
Multiply that by 253, and you are spending $506 for a C-Block (throw in a discount, and you're at like $450)

Get your own dedi for $75, install squid, say you get a Cblock for $100.
Now for $175 total you have your own CBlock... truely exclusive
    enjoy!

Provider also asked what will I do with the IPs. I said I use for my domains
Do they suspend/terminate our account if we say "I want them for private proxies" ?

I don't think telling them they are for proxies is a good idea. Some hosts follow ICANN rules strictly. You are supposed to have a good reason for needing dedicated IPs.

Tell the you need them for domains and that each domain needs it's own SSL certificate. This satisfies ICANN rules.

You'll need to download a Windows binary from their site (Google squid cache). Although I haven't used it, WinProxy is also a popular alternative.
