If you do any serious blackhat, you know you need proxies. Lots and lots of proxies. I do a lot of posting on Craigslist and with Xrumer, so I was looking around for a good way to get lots of fresh, fast proxies, and I couldn't find anything that would suit my needs. Public proxy lists had lots of dead proxies, and paid proxy services either made it difficult to grab more than one proxy at a time or didn't have nearly enough proxies to be useful for serious BH posting. So, I decided to make my own proxy service that would fit all my needs:

Your live stats page doesn't look real at all.

It is real, honest There's a script running every hour on the hour that checks the number of fresh proxies in the DB.

If you don't believe me, I can give you a free 1 day test account so you can see for yourself, just post here that you want one and I will PM you the link.

Do you have suggestions on making the live stats page look better? I truly believe that our service has more live proxies than almost anyone else out there, and I want to convey that.

Does anyone know if this is a good deal?

Are there alternatives that I should check out?

I need lots of anonymous proxies, not for emailing or posting, but for checking some data which is highly restricted by number of inquiries per day, and the sites logs IP to impose daily usage quota.

Any suggestions and tips will be much appreciated.

I think you may need to limit the number of subscribers or else the list will deteriorate quite fast.

Also, I think you definitely need better anonymous proxy checkers, as there are quite a few that are transparent (not ruling out that some were anonymous when you checked them, but changed status to transparent). But if you do more rigorous checking and screening at your end, it can save subscribers much time and effort.

Anyway, here are the results of scanning and checking the 715 proxies (took me a while):
Dead: 338
Transparent: 195
Anonymous: 182

So, to summarize, I found about half of the proxies working, but of the working ones, about half are not anonymous, but transparent. So on balance, about 1/4 of the total are good, anonymous proxies.

Obviously, when I got the list, it could have aged for as much as an hour. But if the proxies were all live an hour earlier, it gives you some idea of the rate of decay. Now 182 proxies are still a lot of working anonymous proxies, but it is a pain to do the screening and checking every hour (assuming hourly updates). The most time consuming part for me is the removal of transparent proxies, as my checker only removes dead ones and the live, but transparent ones need to be removed manually one by one.

I have no idea about competitive services and their prices, but if the transparent proxies can be taken out, which would reduce the list size from 700 to 500 or so, it will be quite useful I think, even if only a third of the remainder are true, anonymous proxies. At least I don't have to do manual removals of the transparent ones. This is particularly important, I presume, for those who absolutely must not ever end up using a transparent proxy.

What do others think of the above quality and price, relative to alternative services? I am looking for the best quality and price. Actually, I do not need more than 100 anonymous proxies for my needs.

Feedback? Comments? Advice? Suggestions?

NeedTips thanks so much for your review. I am ashamed to say that there was a major bug in our proxy checking script that resulted in some transparent proxies being mistakenly marked as anonymous. This problem has now been fixed I apologize for this issue, and I can assure you it won't happen again. The number of proxies in the list has decreased to about 300 due to the more rigorous checking, but I promise that, right now,
all proxies in our proxy list are 100% anonymous

Sorry, ArgentD, I don't plan on offering any other plans. If you know what you are doing, you should be able to very easily make back the $50 a month it costs.

I can confirm that I find no more transparent proxies, at least among the live ones.

However, they apparently die very quickly. I don't know how aged they were when I downloaded them, but after checking on 300+ proxies, 8 remained live and anonymous.

I'll try again and see if better results are found. It may well be that the list I downloaded was too old.

I wonder how many people were downloading and using the list --- that may be a factor.

As for me, I only tested the list for validity. I did not use them, not yet.

Remember, any proxy list will need to be tested with Charon, because any gathered list will have some dead proxies!

Funny question, the proxy list is updated hourly, that is the number of proxies over the last 24 hours.

Are these scraped and compiled into a list?

Hey, This might be off topic but will these proxies that you have be able to be used for Tube Automator Effectively? I havent been able to get any good proxies to work.. so thats why i'm asking

Quite disappointed with this service.. Most of them are dead so it takes my script ages to sort through and test them, if there was some better testing on their part it would make it a lot better. I'd estimate 100-400 working proxies per batch of about 6500, maybe less, maybe more.

I can not recommend them and I will not be continuing my subscription until something is done about the bulk of dead proxies.

Am I missing someone because I am new.

CLA- is a program that has 1000's of PROXIES ( TESTED, SOXY5, HTTP ) .... click on the tab and export. Would this work and they would all be free ?
