Very high ctr but.....
Hey im a newbie (Like 4 months). If anyone can advice me please it's very much appreciated. This is my problem. Firstly I have a CTR of about 25%, i go as high as 69% and lowest may be 10%. The problem is that I notice I am getting penny clicks (example: 5 clicks and 7 cents, 2 clicks and 1 cent and lots like that) i some times get 15 cents clicks. I running a movie site. Can anyone please advice on how to get high paying ads to show om my site, and how to identify which site pays high and how to get them to show up on webpage. Is there any way to get a specific ad to show on my site or page?
I also have a website for cancer, but its very hard to get traffic to that site, i dont know how...im lost...help

Re: Very high ctr but.....
Before anyone can address that question you have to tell us which ppc company you use to show your ads. In my experience with 3 companies:adsense, bidvertiser, and adbrite; adsense paid the highest on average. If were talking about adsense here you can't choose which ads display at all. Google chooses for you based upon your content. With the other 2 companies you can customize the ads by going into your account and customizing it. If you just poke around in those settings for a half hour and read everything they'll tell you how to do it. As for traffic, search the forums for a few hours and you'll find some good posts.

Re: Very high ctr but.....
Ok. Well since you're using adsense the only answer for your low payouts is that your category sucks. The advertisers just aren't bidding high for the content network in it and there's little competition. Why did you choose to make a site about cancer for adsense? Did you do research or look at google trends to tell you that it was a good topic to hit? If you want ways to get legit target traffic you should check out the white hat subforum on here, if your'e just looking for any traffic at all theirs some good posts by harro on the topic. Just advanced search for "traffic" and member harro. LOok at this method too. I've used it with success to add to my daily income with adsense sites. If thats your aim its all about picking keywords without too much competition that people are doing searches for.

Re: Very high ctr but.....
xtreme apart from the category that you are in, you may also want to check at what kinds of boxes you are displaying (the one ad, three ad, etc....)
Apparently higher priced ads are usually shown on one ad boxes.

Re: Very high ctr but.....
That makes sense, at the very least it takes away the option of them clicking on lower priced ads so any clicks you get will be guaranteed to give you the highest payout possible. But at the same time less options might lower the ctr since they'll be less likely to see something relevant. I'd say definitely test it out and see what the tradeoff is.

Re: Very high ctr but.....
Greater Than Adsense (The only Answer You Need)
Hi shiaun, here is what you do. Go to the member downloadz section and look for a ppc adtracker. Place this on your website. It tells you which website ad is being clicked the most. When you find this out, remove all the other adblocks that don't get clicked as often because the less adsense you have on a page, the higher you get paid per click. Next, remember the website that was being clicked on the most, find out if they have affiliate programs or something, so you can make money from that company directly, and cutout the middleman, *google*. Next See if that website that was getting all of the clicks has adsense, if they do, advertise on their site. Wow, you got knowledge now babe!

Re: Very high ctr but.....
hey guys, i was experimenting with the one ad format and it doesn't seem to be getting the high paying ads (i'm still getting very low paying clicks, but I do know that they are high paying ads because i did get a few clicks that pay around $1 before I did the experiment, but that is only once in a while). HELP... is there any other way. Or can some one give a good topic and ways to drive traffic PLEASE. My stats for today is (imp=211, clicks=31, ctr=15% and earnings=$2.12). Is there a way to make like $20 per day? Thank you for your time guys. Its very much appreciated.
