This quiz is fairly easy and can't really test your skills. However it is good for beginners to check out their level
@OP, after completing the quiz on left there's "check answers" to see which one you did wrong on
I took this test a while back as I was actually doing a test at college about PHP
If I remember correctly I scored 17, so thinking I was a smart arse, I decided
to try another one that was title "PHP Quiz For Kids", I got 5 out of 20, I have no
idea who these kids where, but they must have been the offspring off Einstein
That does it trying it again
Well done the test again and ...... no improvement, still make the same bloody mistakes
I have come to the conclusion you are either have a programming mentality or you dont
I takes me a good 30 mins to get my brain in gear when it comes to PHP.
On a side note W3 schools is a superb site for learning a variety of web skills.
20 out of 20 in 1 minute and 44 seconds!
14. PHP allows you to send emails directly from a script
Does php allow you send emails from a script? Of course it does. So the proper way to format this sentence would be "14. PHP allows you to send emails from a script".
But it doesn't say that. It has "directly" in there as well. Since the sentence would work without "directly", its implied that the word is there for a purpose, i.e. not just sending it, but directly sending it.
Does the script itself DIRECTLY send email? No, it doesn't. In fact, if you haven't configured an outgoing email server (the next step, not part of the "script", and before email is actually sent), the script won't do anything at all but return an error.
That test just reminded me why college is a waste of time, half the questions had nothing to do with real world PHP programming.

Yeah you are right on that! In that case, even image manipulation functions / many and many other things are not directly handled by PHP. but this is just a beginner's test lol..
EDIT:I got the question that I answered wrong.. die and exit does the same thing after all! I mistaken that with require and include lol...

I don't know anything about PHP. This is just from spending time editing some simple .php files wrote by my team members when I don't want to bug them for tiny changes that need to be made.
W3 Schools is one of my favorite sites! I use it a lot when learning HTML. I don't know much about PHP, but I got a 60 on the SQL test from pretty much looking at the previous questions. CodeAcademy is another great learning resource for me.
Lol, this one was fairly easy
