PPV and CPA, success?
Hi guys,
since I joined BHW I'm still thinking about PPV traffic and its monetizing with CPA. I've already burned ~$200 (MediaT) with two conversions, which is very bad, but this idea of really cheap traffic with virtually awesome targeting posibilities is still keeping me interested.
So I created a new rough plan, selecting 8-10 CPA offers, rotating, with few landing pages and prosper202 for tracking all this. Media*traffic as traffic source. I'm about to deliver 80-100k views, URL targeted to these 10 offers. It will cost me ~1500 bucks.
My question. Is this even worth trying, I mean is there a potential of good money to be made? Because some people say PPV is bs,wasted money, other people(Gaughry) say it's really cheap and great traffic so I'm confused. How many people is REALLY making good money with PPV and CPA? And not for building a list, i'm not gonna do that. I mean simple monetizing PPV with CPA. What's you opinion? Share you story. Thanks.
btw I'm little drunk right now so pardon me some typos and stuff

Yeah I wouldn't suggest dropping $1500 on something you don't know will convert.

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
Hello,
thanks for your responses guys. I think maybe didn't describe my plan right. I'm gonna buy traffic from Media*traffic.c0m. So I'm not using any banners, I'll be using landing pages(mostly) or direct linking to CPA offers. The main idea is to divide traffic equally to 10 offers, 10k views for each offer and see what converts a what doesn't. So it's not just burning $1500 on one thing. And of course there will be daily limit for campaign and I'm gonna remove targets bringing big traffic and no conversions(that's why I need prosper202)

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
With the right offer and target you should be able to see results. You also need to test and tweek your landers to see which ones get the highest CTRs.
Get the best converting offers from your CPA and test a lot of targets until you get one that sticks.

PPV is testing game. But when you find out what's working for you you will bank big. PPV is also scalable. Your plan is good. Do it. I'm sure you will see results.

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
I think it's a great idea provided you can afford to lose the $1500, you have adequate tracking in place and you've got laser targeted urls that you're bidding on. You mention Gauhry so I assume you've already watched his course, but if not he's got a few cool strategies for finding targeted urls to bid on.
My only piece of advice would be to test your campaigns using CPA offers that have already proven to convert in other mediums. That way, one of your 10 test batches doesn't work out, you know it's the traffic or the targeting that's at fault, not the CPA offer.
You gotta be willing to buy yourself an education in situations like these!

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
If you read Gauhar's course, he says start small , test , test, test and the use the results. Learn from the results, tweak the campaigns if needed and then test again.
Start Small, I would say use $100 first, not $1500, place lower bids. Learn the tricks of the trade gradually. See what works. PPV/PPC is highly scalable system if done correctly. You can make millions of it, if you become a master like Gauhar. It will take time so put in your best.
PPC/PPV is NOT for everyone. Best of luck!
BTW below is what you can do with FB PPC.

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
Hi,
thank you guys for your responses, I appreciate it. I finally decided to do something(I'm so lazy it's terrible). After reading many courses and articles I think I have enough knowledge.
I picked five CPA offers (same niche) and collected keywords for scraping urls.
Usually everybody suggest using landing pages(not direct linking)
so I downloaded tons of LPs and tried to find a few suitable for my offers.
But here is my problem. Almost every landing page has text inputs for Email and Name and other data. What do I need that for? I was always thinking that landing should just include some motivating image and catchy headline and BIG button for redirect to actual CPA offer.
Is my idea wrong? These LPs I have are probably not for redirecting to CPA but for collecting data.
Could you give me tips where can I get simple LPs with just textline and button?
Thanks...

The landing pages with text and email submit are good as you can build your own list, which you can use to promote offers later on. But if your like me I hate email marketing really, and I'm fucking lazy so doing all that extra list building and whatever is too much effort for me.
So basically, the landing page without the email and text boxes is fine.

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
PPV is test ,test, tracking, tracking.

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
I've also started testing around PPV and I have to say that it's pretty difficult... at least compared to what many people about it. But as it seems it ALL comes down to tracking.

Re: PPV and CPA, success?
just like others stated, PPV is a testing game. Choose as many long tail keywords as you can, and find at least 100 urls to lower your cpc. Depending on your offers, a well designed & highly targeted landing page will help a lot
