my experience with directcpv
Hello!
i've started 5 campaigns and i'm simply targeting only the main URL of the offer i'm promoting.
for example, to promote my offert xyz.it/myid/etc. etc i'm targeting only xyz.it
i had great results for all the campaigns, with good conversions.
From 5 days, all of campaigns have 80% of users/clicks/impressions less than before.
I sent them a mail and they answered:
"..I have reviewed your account and the reason as to why you are not receiving traffic is because you do not have enough targets added to your campaigns. We recommend our advertisers to add from 500-1000 targets to generate enough traffic, resulting in higher chances for conversions..."
you have to realize that the amount of traffic you receive can change from time to time, the reason for that is because we always have new advertisers signing up everyday with DirectCPV and they may start using and bidding on some of the targets that you may have been running for a while now. Also the publishers who bring the traffic to your add, change from time to time and one other factor is how much of an interest the end user has for your advertisement. So you have to consider all those factors.
I've answered that their reasons about this decrease can be related to a single campaign, but comparing the statistics we can notice that ALL of campaigns had a huge decrease of visualization.
Do you think that their telling me the truth or they set a limit on my account because they want me to target more keywords and urls (more visualization that i pay) ?
sorry for my english, thank you

I dont see any reason why they would lie to you. I didnt really understand the question.

Re: my experience with directcpv
Maybe someone matched your bids?
I've been using Direct CPV for over 2 years now and they are spiraling downward in my opinion. The interface is junk and there is so much lag on their servers it's almost impossible to use at times. Plus, bids are getting out of control and you can get stuck with costly impressions when the traffic is slow as they described.

Re: my experience with directcpv
Their interface sucks. It is dog slow. I tried credit score/reports and never had any conversions. Got 2 email submit conversions on a grocery gift card offer, but I am still down on the hole. The overall conversion rate is bad. Still optimizing campaigns, but I am trying to get into traffic vance (needing a referral though) for better options and targeting.

Their site is quite slow but i got good conversions with them. Much more than leadimpact or mediatraffic

Re: my experience with directcpv
Something just changed over there. . I'm not sure what exactly they did. . but over past 3-4 days. . conversions dropped and i noted that a lot of advertisers bailed out on certain keywords. . . cause what was once costing a heavy .06 bid. . was filled at .02 by the time i woke up in the morning. . I paused my campaigns. . they altered something but not sure what exactly. . anyone else have this?
and as for this:
"I dont see any reason why they would lie to you. I didnt really understand the question."
These mofo's lie all the time. .I've bid on bullshit keywords that no one would bid on . . just to check em. . and found them jacking up the rate with another bidder. . no way.
Still i hope the fix that adjustment was making good money till the other day.

the whole site couldbe a scam

Re: my experience with directcpv
someones probably bidding higher than you on a similar keyword domain
if you're bidding 20cents on weightLossPoo.com
then you will get lower traffic if someone is bidding on the keyword weightLossPoo at 30cents

Re: my experience with directcpv
Yeah my experience with DCPV traffic has been pretty horrific to say the least... I think you're better off spending money at some other networks.

Re: my experience with directcpv
Since DirectCPV is a smaller CPV network you'll run into offer saturation much more quickly on their network. Their user universe is just smaller compared to many of the others. And it's easier than you might think to run out of targeting and conversion opps with a single target. With a small network like that you actually do need to rotate your targets and offers far more often.

Yeah that lag on DCPV is just terrible.

Re: my experience with directcpv
You probably got outbided by new advertiser... go back into your account at directCPV and see in which position you are and bid as high as you can since you already have data on how this products are converting for you... try to outbid competition if you can...
I hope this helps...

Re: my experience with directcpv
DirectCPV is sketchy as hell.
My account randomly stops getting any click out of the blue.
I call them up and they would say it's all been fixed and you will notice the effects in like a half hour.
They are the cheapest, and that's what I like.
If you get what you pay for... they aren't that bad.

DCPV is bad. Stick with TV and LI.

I haven't used DirectCPV, but there are others here on BHW who are not fans of them:
