If you have a Amazon account and it is registered in North Carolina Your account has been closed. NC is passing a provision that will charge tax on Amazon referral.

Email your representative today lets stop this stupid move before all affiliates stop doing business in NC

Same thing happened to me. If you're getting payments by direct deposit, just sign up for a new account with a fake address. Or actually get a PO box out of state if it matters.

still a huge tax problem...although creating an out of state llc/corp could fix all of that...

why would this be an issue? Ive been reading some post on this but no one answers this clearly.

Can I have a different address and have the money direct deposit? Or have the check mailed to that address not in NC? (i have relatives in FL)

Or do I HAVE to get an LLC?
