Default What to put in a proposal?

I got a warm lead via email that asked for a proposal of services, I Googled proposals and followed the general format best I could. Now she's really warmed up to me and is eager to get into price talk and now wants me to send her a proposal so she can see what they're looking at price wise.

I have no idea what to do.

In the previous proposal went over everything except cost. I get the feeling that she wants the service, just wants to know how much at this point. I don't know whether to come up with something via email, real mail, or to call her, or try to get a face to face appointment out of her like I've read you're supposed to... I REALLY need this sale.

I kindof feel like an ass because I put most of my efforts thus far into getting leads, and haven't gotten much farther than that. (All of my training thus far has been online sales so when I get the leads, the websites and shit would do the rest.) I suppose I should make 3 general packages, she's already expecting monthly so I'll go for 3 different monthly/one time setup structures. She just seems like she dosen't want to call... I don't want to inconvenience her. I feel there's a good chance I could still get this if I just email her over some quick quotes and say we'll have to get together to discuss the precise price point, know what I mean? But I don't know if that's the right thing to do.

I would appreciate the hell out of some advice BHW... thanks...

You know, I did read that thread back when it was made, but now it's really relevant to what I'm doing, I'm going to go back over it. Thanks!

I mostly don't know if I should mention money over email or staunchly advise a phonecall or meeting... I don't want to sound like an asshole, lol

    I would call her.

The absolute worst that can happen is that she doesn't answer your call, and yo can leave a nice voicemail and explain that you will be e-mailing her the proposal as requested.

If she answers, you can feel her out a little more before committing to a pricing structure.

You don't want to be scared or sound too desperate when talk price with a potential client. What I usually do when making the first initial contact via email is a discovery process, you want to find out the customers expectations, needs, and one of the most important questions to ask is what their current marketing budget is. You want to base your price off of the industry and a few other variables. If the potential client says to me what are your different types of packages I just let them know that we do not have cookie cutter type packages and that we custom tailor each package to fit the individual needs of each one of our clients.

Just remember to be confident and don't be afraid to drop the price. If you do a good enough job explaining what you can do for them and listening to their needs then you should have no problem getting paid whatever you want. Also at the same time you will gain a new fan who preaches about your great services.

Also you do not have to meet in person, you should be able to close your deals over the phone and email but it is always good to show your face to the customer and gain that extra trust. My team and I have closed 100% of our face to face deals so that just goes to show you how effective face to face meetings are.

The best option in my opinion is to make a call and give a price with very low profit margin. That will get you the deal.

Give her a good value price, but in the email first focus and re-iterate all the benefits in terms of traffic and sales etc that her business will enjoy during and after your work.

If she decides that all those benefits are not worth your price, (although I am sure the benefits will be of much higher value than the price of the work.) she will most likely tell you . At this point ask her what she would like to spend, then show her the benefits that can be achieved for that price.
