Besides pushing your website, I move to start generating some ideas to get free users w/o paying for ads.
I'll start:
1. Post a CL ad
2. Post on other FB pages in the city

Impossible? I'm Possible!

Nice , you could even make a online or offline seminar , and at the end tell them your offers (help the to make wordpress site, give them other ideas but have to pay for it ....)
To sweeten your offer you could include email setup for them. Sign them up for a free Google Apps account so they can have xyz@theirdomain email addresses. Could also make this a simple fee to setup once for a set number of emails.
Email marketing software is also big for the business crowd. I believe iContact has the best affiliate program, if you refer someone on the $9.95/mo plan it's $70 commission. If you're doing major volume though, I'd go with Aweber and collect the ongoing commissions (on the base plan I think it's like ~$6/mo per person).
good method to earn money
but is it possible for everyone
Another twist is to go to the local Recreation Center. For around $30 they can let you use a classroom and you can advertise via flyers, in addition they normally post a schedule. If you are there on a regular basis you can have multiple classes like Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. In addition if you live in an apartment complex or go to a laundromat you can post flyers there. You would be surprised how many people do not own a washing machine yet they own a computer and have internet connections.
I would like to add, that I am not sure if there are premium WP theme designers that have affiliate programs but that might be a way to double dip. You give them the hostgator hosting and earn $100 then the WP theme can earn you ????
Just a thought.

Cool strategy!
Would you care to share what aspect of Internet marketing you're teaching?
Obviously you're teaching noobs so keeping it simple is good... What simple thing or things are you teaching that lead into the sale of the Hostgator acoount?
I show them some of my affiliate sites or other IM related sites I have created to inspire them. I then work it up in how websites work, the importance of hosting and owning your own site etc...
Bump for anyone having success with this...
Hint... Check out Google Hangouts Plus extras, still free at the moment and gives you all you need to do this through G Plus. I did not do the hosting thing, but have done Skype webinars as well, but there is a larger G pool than Skype pool. If you need the materials to run your seminar then search BHW for make 10,000 in a weekend seminars. All of the material you need is right there for a very indepth seminar, with tons of places to put your own hooks and products.
I know there is windows programs avail, but if you are on the linux platform, using webcamstudio opens up lots of options for automating desktop sharing and video/cam automation.
Apply all of that ewhoring knowledge to consulting and its a hands off affair, no pun intended.
