    Default Easy customers and bartering

    Hi all,

I am in the train heading home from a long day at a travel fair. I visited this fair for my full time job (non IM related) and had several meetings with large companies.

After my meetings I went over the fair again and started talking to some smaller companies. You recognize them because they have crappy stands with names you have never heard of before.

First I just spoke with them about the destination/service they offer. Then went into social media and website promotion after finding out I was talking to the owner (all the smaller ones have the owner on the fair). I asked them about their website and opened website on my laptop and started making some remarks about conversion and seo. Then asked them about facebook.

Most of them had very little likes, crappy facebook pages and also websites with poor quality.

When they noticed I knew something about this subject and told them they could get more customers/visitors they asked me if I wanted to do that for them.

I have been offered free stays at hotels and bnb's and money for doing really basic stuff.

So here is my tip for you guys who need to find some customers. Just visit your local smaller and larger trade fairs aimed at B2B or B2C. Mine was B2C. Just take your laptop and tablet with you. Show some of your websites if you have them.

Topic of the fair is not of importance as in all niches you have those and there will always be smaller companies struggling.

Good luck on getting your customers on those fairs and I hope this is useful for you guys.

Yeah. Go out there and meet them in an environment where they are unable to say no to you. You could be a customer and during the conversation just casually talk about their website and stuff. They will soon notice you are THE expert and want you to help them out.

    Good luck!
