Hello mates


I'm thinking about opening a Reseller Hosting Company to offer the package "Free Website Creation + Paid Hosting" to local bussiness (stores, dentists, restaurants...).


Offering this package through Offline Medias (Journal Ads or Billboards are the best ones I think) is a good idea? I never used offline marketing before, so I'm kinda lost here.

The idea is Create the Website for free, and just charge the hosting. As I'll offer the service of my own hosting (the reselling), it'll have 2 benefits:
1- It'll look FCKING professional, as I'll be the owner of a hosting company. Looking professional is great for small bussiness owners.
2- I'll have a steady monthly income, as I'll charge a small value if compared to the price of the regular media (something between 15-25 USD)


What do you guys think?

Good idea I would charge more though - people will expect to pay more per month and you need to account for the work of creating each site.

I won't create a website from the scratch. My idea is to use Wordpress Templates and just create a few pages (I never saw a small bussiness website with more than 10 pages). It won't take longer than 1 hour.

Here in my country a listing on the Yellow Pages cost about 350 USD/year. I just divided it by 12 and got the monthly price (30 USD), as most bussiness owners are used paying every year for the Yellow Pages...

I'll ask for all the information to be write on the website.
Image resizing the Wordpress does for me.

But ok ok ok, lets say...3 hours of work? It's a lot of time, I spent less than 3 hours to create a whole long-tail-website back in the old'n'good days.
Lets be pessimist about the client retention and say they'll just stay 1 year on my hosting: 30USD*12 months = 360$. It's money.


But I got what you guys want to say. I should charge more, maybe 50$ monthly??

Yes, I think so,

Dunno about brazil, but in the anglosphere, some people are really babes in the wood when it comes to the web (you would really think they live in the early 90s still), so I think if you can reach that clientele, you're good to go. You can make a profit but you'll a loooooooot of people to make a decent living out of it, I think.
