Exporting goods - tarriffs?
I googled the tarriffs for exporting goods from the US to other nations, and oftentimes ridiculous numbers are quoted like upto 35% or more! Hard to understand their guide - doesn't exactly tell you the percentage you have to pay for your product and to whom.
My question:
How does it work? How do I pay the tarriffs when using carriers like Fedex, USPS, etc.?
How do I minimize/evade it? Let's be honest, we're all here to make money. We set up corporations to write off expenses to minimize paying taxes. I'm not asking how to cheat. I'm asking how to minimize my expenses by using the law.

Just thinking about starting.
Want to import a certain apparel product from a certain European country. Just a few pieces at first, you known, and then maybe larger quantities.

Re: Exporting goods - tarriffs?
wel i guess your talking about importing otherwise you would not have to pay duties. it depends on the certain kind of product. apparel can be all kinds of different stuff. you can receive $100 a day for free without duties from what I know. Some people declare lower values on the invoices but depending on how many shipments and how big you might risk more than what its worth.
I guess you will have to look through all the papers yourself to find the exact customs duty on the product or you pay someone to do it for you. normally dhl, fedex etc will just charge you the duties and you wont have to put up with it(depending on the tariff number the sender used)
did you check the prices before? especially clothing to me seems a lot cheaper in the US than what im used to from europe...
