who has been doing (online) marketing since 1997 so about 14 years of marketing experience. He is the head of the marketing department for some company, I believe. We talked and I gave him my business card. He then said a few nice words about my unique business card and good business name.
I think he also said something about giving me some work/clients for my business. I don't remember exactly what he said because I didn't really sleep the night before and I was kind of tired after being there for several hours. But he did say he was going to call me so I didn't leave empty-handed.
Bad news: He called 2 days later asking me how much does it cost to install a Wordpress template from TemplateMonster and my turnaround time (set it up on GoDaddy).
I've just started my offline marketing business so I have no experience in dealing with clients. How should I answer his questions? I don't want to charge too high or too low because the common advice here is don't underprice yourself. Also, I know networking is the key to success because it is not what you know but rather who you know. I just met someone who has been doing marketing for 14 years so maybe he can be a big help to my offline marketing business.
What do you guys think I should do? I have to return his call soon, should do it by early next week at the latest. And when I do, I have to prepare for more questions. This could lead to something big...I feel so nervous because I'm afraid of messing things up.
(I was inspired by Taktical's thread and decided to start my own offline marketing journey. You can find my thread here:
