Small Business Fundraising?
Well, I've talked about this previously, but our business is now ready to expand.
We are looking to do some fundraising, or something along those lines.
What are your suggestions on fundraising? We are looking for $20,000 to expand and be where we need to be.
We posted a campaign on IndieGoGo, I just don't see small businesses getting much funding on that network.
We are very unfamiliar with raising money for anything, so any direction you give us is a good direction.
I'm all ears.
Thanks

So he has more money for marketing? Or for employing people?

There are some places that will buy or loan money to you based on your monthly receivables. Or you could go after private investors, but you will need a solid plan and enticing returns.

Exactly.
I've got a really detailed business plan in the works. Going to hit a few private investment groups and banks.
If I can get more than $20,000 I could really put a dent into our surrounding community, along with a full staff. $20k is just the small investment goal.

That's funny you shared GBN, I was just on the phone with a client not even 5 minutes ago who suggested I go there as well.
Thanks.

Re: Small Business Fundraising?
If you already have a stable business you should have no trouble acquiring a $20,000 loan.

All banks I've approached locally have required a solid business plan, which is in the works now. (Have one currently, it's just extremely vague)
Will update thread with what happens.
