Import Export Business - Any ebook/WSO or help?
Hey BHW.
My girlfriends father has a large amount of savings, and he's looking to put it to use. We got discussing, and we decided we'd import whatever from china and wholesale it in the UK.
Is there there WSO other than "John Durhams Export Profits" or any ebooks that will take me through the process without losing all his money!
Any help would be amazing!

I'm not sure what your budget would be and if you are looking at buying directly from china or not.Importing from china is no easy task. Your biggest hurdle will be getting your items correctly classified and thru customs. Its very risky to run a business with a lot of your money tied up waiting in customs or on a boat somewhere. I don't know of any good books that would explain getting around this. Good luck with your venture!

I am based in Asia and have indepth knowledge of China, I am an English guy and my advice would be to start with small lots of goods, in that way you are not getting all your cash tied up in a product which may or may not sell! Send me a PM if you need some help

Thanks dude. I used to sell 'silver' chains on ebay, buy for $0.13 and sell for £5. not bad mark up
I try to buy stuff that can be packed in small packages, in order to get past customs and stuff. Do you deliver to the UK a lot?

Hey I used to send lots to the UK on a regular basis, then I started bulk delivery but not in the normal way my buddy started taking suitcases of gear back to the UK - 1,000s of items and the best thing about this way the gear landed and cleared same day and many times we declared at the customs but they never charged us much varying from 100 to 500 quid but it did nor matter as we sold the gear on the street markets in London so we made big bucks

Re: Import Export Business - Any ebook/WSO or help?
I've been importing cars and parts from Japan since I was just gone 17.
Been buying replica from China for the last 6-7years off and on.
Its very easy, just buy alot of samples, exhaust the supplier with chat and
questions, most scammers won't waste time with you. And go over the figures
100 times with them, and if your suspicious for one moment, ask for photographs,
pictures of their premises, their company registration cert (then phone the
Chinese embassy to verify) go the whole 9 yards, its very important and if they're
serious they'll respect that, in fact you'll get a better deal because your not some
noobie buying a few cartons of this and that carelessly.
Also don't try and EVER sell a product you know nothing about because
your leaving yourself open big time, I know replica gear inside and out and
know more than alot of mechanics when it comes to car tuning so thats the stuff
I touch... start asking me about jewellery or builders tools and I'm useless...
If your gona start, start very small and only with stuff you know, when you get in samples
actually try and sell the samples (even at a loss) just to see if your product would
sell at bulk... and don't ask friends or family what they think, they'll buy things from
you out of pitty, and give you advice they're not qualified to give so ignore them.
