Hi. I'm going to be making about 500 flyers to promote a weight loss program. I was originally thinking of promoting an acai free trial, but I'm not sure. I registered a domain called www.loseweight"mycity".com, "mycity" being the metro area that I'm going to target. I've got a friend whose girlfriend delivers newspapers and she's going to slip my flyers in the newspaper, so it looks like an insert. What weight loss product is really hot right now that you guys think will have the best chance of converting?

You can never go wrong with acai berry IMO. I still think it's got plenty life left in it, especially marketing it offline. Also at $40+ per free* trial, you won't need many conversions to turn a profit.

No, this is the first time that I'll be trying flyers. I got the idea from this forum, and I'm excited to see if it'll work. onlyme, do you have any experience with anything like this?

not yet, but this weekend will be doing a test run, in all honesty, im not sure 500 would make enough impact, im near a few big cities with lots of traffic and shopping malls, trains, buses, airports, all that good stuff, so im thinking trying this with 8-10k flyers, I will report back my results for ya though

I think about advertising on the front page of a popular newspaper. Anyone have some statistics? It will cost me 1.5k for a front page banner for 1 week. What kinda hits/conversions can I expect from that?

Anyone created any Acai Berry free trial flyers?
This is what I'm going to be testing out shortly, just setting up a quick landing page, not sure whether to simply redirect to the offer or do have an actual landing page.

I would redirect straight to the offer to start with if it was me. There's no point in going to the toruble of building a landing page if you go out and distribute the flyers and it turns out not to work that well.

If it does work, build a landing page which captures there names and emails. Then you can promote weight loss shit to them until the end of time. (Or until they unsubscribe )

I was actually thinking about the same dame thing., making making about 2,000 flyers and having them passed out at malls and high traffic areas?.

What you think? Pm me maybe we can template on making this work offline... or we can just share our ideas here being its off line not like were gonna saturate our citys and stuff...

What I'm doing is setting up a landing page about losing weight with Acai Berry and the Colon Cleanse thinggyy..

I've already designed my first flyer, i'll be ordering a thousand of them which promote Acai Berry, if it works out then i'll order more to deliver them, and deliver one about colon cleanse later......

I'm offering 3 different acai berry trials, so I need a site.

Did you design the flyer yourself? I need a good designer to make my flyer as this is not one of my strengths. Do you recommend anyone?

where are you getting your flyers printed from.....

My parents own their own business and get discount at some printing place not far, i'll just send in the flyer I designed and they'll print it.

Name your website.. lose 10 pounds by god.com

Keep god theme going on website, have the top line have a testimonial about some lady who prayed she would lose weight.. and god sent her to this site.. she lost twice as much.

Put fliers on cars at churches..

I would probably go with acai too. It's completely unsaturated offline.

For the flyers, you could use something like this:
Comes up with 60 flyer templates for Weight Loss & BizOp (you have to make up your own ad copy though) that you can edit. It also has those flaps at the bottom you can cut & people can tear out.

Okay, I got a flyer designed and I'm going to test it out tonight. My friend's girlfriend is going to bundle the flyer with newspapers that she delivers tonight. She'll be delivering to about 200 people. I got a beautiful full color flyer design that looks real professional. The only problem is that with such short notice, I had to go to Fedex Kinko's to get these printed. They wanted to charge me 49 cents per page for full color. So I decided to go black writing on blue paper, which was much cheaper. Hopefully, I can get at least two sales out of this run, which would make me back what I've invested so far. If I don't, oh well, I'm still not gonna give up. Next time I'll use Vistaprint or a similar service to print the flyer for much less money. Well, wish me luck guys!

Be careful putting them as inserts in papers, I once got fired for that lol, companies pay alot of money to do inserts, and they didnt like the idea of me doing it for free haha. hopefully ya get away with the 200, but I wouldnt do it too often

Well guys, this campaign didn't go so well. My friend's girlfriend put out the flyers. Out of those, I only got a handful of clicks. I didn't really expect it to go super well because I didn't use a full color flyer and 200 really isn't a huge number to test considering that the offer wasn't super targeted. I think I'm going to try some other offline tactics using the flyers, maybe converting the flyer to something smaller and putting them on people's car windows at the mall. On the bright side, I did get some good news from my friend. He said that his girl can get the address of every single person who receives the newspaper in our area. Maybe some direct mail is in my future Either way, I'm going to keep trying until I find something that works.

Do you live near any sports venues? Like you said, make a flyer that can be split to 2 on the same page, then have them cut, that way youre only paying for 1 page, but getting 2 flyers...I think windshielding is the way to go, airports, malls, stadiums, bus/train stations. Also, I dont really think they need to be in full color, I may be wrong, but its not so much the look of the flyer as much as the offer.

Does putting fliers on windshields really get good results? Also where do you find someone to do that if you're new in an area... my area isn't saturated at all with any type of online biz or promotions for ANYTHING so there's tons of money to be made here. I've been here for about 4 months now

I think the reason why it wasnt too good was because, they method of delivery. It wasnt a direct method. I usually just throw those dame things away in side the newspaper. So you need a more direct method of delivery. I think that if you wouldve posted those flyers or small invitation like/ club like flyers on cars it wouldve had better results....

I have read that having your own booth at a mall works well as long as the spot you are paying for is cheap. And if you are going that route, have a hot girl or two promote the offer using an laptop---but make sure to talk to your aff manager first--same ip = red flag of course.

how would you do this? Have everyone order it from the website..there not going to want to order it from the website.They will prolly want to buy it right then

this was actually a wso on a popular forum, not dp. apparently it works well because the website ships it within 2 weeks(or so they say).

the only problem with this method is that shipping usually takes longer than the trial is---ie the trial starts as soon as they order. this may or may not be the case where you live. here in canada, shipping would take a bit longer with acai. also, the booths where i live would cost $1000 for the week.

if a booth is cheap at your mall, go for it. not much to lose if you are doing it yourself or are getting your gf/friend to do it. you could even pay some girl to do it for $12/h.
