The technology in this site is ahead of its time... its 3.0ish ... I'm looking for bugs. Myspace is NOT meant to replace Facebook... but it will easily ruin Tumblr and Soundcloud.

I got my invite around 3 or 4 days ago. I haven't really used it though.

I'm in White Hat mode, currently locking down Intellectual Property and checking on all my Artists that contracts with me.... myspace seems to be using a third party service for claims of "Artist Relationships"

I signed up for an invite yesterday and received a note today that I'm on the list. They did include link to a video preview of the new site at Vimeo. (Video 50071857 - I can't post links yet.) It looks pretty slick and I can see how they're going after Pinterest and Tumblr with the new UI.

It does look pretty sharp - it's like a mixture of Instagram + Pinterest + Tumblr.

I got an invite after like a week or two of requesting one. It's actually pretty cool.

timberlake was part of a consortium that bought the rump of myspace from newscorp in 2011

I logged into my myspace to check it out for the first time in it seems years. I really do like the interface and the direction they are going. This is going to be a decent spot for IMers in the music space.

Will spotify and soundcloud not kill it?

I still find it very clumsy and inefficient. Specifically the music player - it's slow and annoying in that it opens up a new player which is, in my opinion, glitchy - especially when interacting with a musician's profile, e.g. adding new songs to the player.
I certainly won't go back to using it regularly.

I'm not experiencing it, I think it seems very fluid. Try different browsers?
