i am now but i know something about social networking but now ms is completed dead..
none is making money i suppose..

Myspace is not dead ,its just people art innovative enough to try and those already established won't tell a thing to anyone . They are happy for everyone is trying thier luck in FB and Twitter leaving them alone in myspace.

All i can say is nothing is dead in IM its just our attitude and methodology that decides outcome , upon which we conclude results.

So fellas Myspace is not dead ,actually our mind is simply not full of ideas over how to monetize Myspace. That's it .

i tried to make money again with ms this year but all testing failed.lol..maybe ill try again next year. lol

I make money using myspace =) It's not dead - it's just harder now to make money using old-fashioned and outdated marketing techniques.

to me its dead since October 2010 when they changed their layout.
I had been making good money out of myspace in last 4 years, but nothing seems to be working now. But i m sure it will be back soon. I will try something out next month and will post here if i get any success.

I have sent like 50k messages per day in MS but no result. I think MS is dead

MS went as fat as integrating FB into their UI now. they called it Mesh. Not bad, but too crowded and sure as rain don't know who they're trying to target.

MySpace is alive for music and that's it.

My personal account has like 30k friends and I don't make money off of them. MS is dead and has been for a while.

Facebook should take note of this. Personally I feel Myspace's demise was brought about a whole lot sooner by the atrocious new logo and page design. Simply and utterly horrible and I've never seen my computer work so hard (hard drive lights going constantly for 20secs by simply accepting one friend request) while viewing a webpage.

Despite years of hard work using Myspace to promote, I gave up months ago when it was apparent the new design rendered the website unusable.

I hope they don't go under from the point of view of losing all my work, but from an outsiders view I hope they burn. What an utter disaster.

Only true profit you're going to make from myspace nowadays, in my opinion, is advertsing revenue from music plays on a band account. Ofcourse that only works if you just happen to have an album or a few singles on itunes, and it's linked to your band account.

My advice, look elsewhere; e.g. youtube, facebook, etc.

Changed his name to a symbol trying to make shorter, possibly more effective, easily identified... Obviously that totally backfired, and accomplished only the opposite. I see the same for myspace.

MySpace is not dead, but even worse. My [___] is desperate, and is almost socially embarrassing anymore if people use it, and the effort to return ratio, in my opinion is definitely not worth it.

MS traffic is taking a royal hit but gradually. I don't think it has more than a couple years left before descending into "friendster"-ship.

but what really sucks is i had this dude make me a bot that automatically inputted the captcha from decaptcher.co m so it was completely hands off...and with fb being such spam snobs its not very cost effective to use it now since the roadblocks and stuff...

the traffic quality has dropped significantly in the past few years, and more importantly the users are so used to seeing spam that anything traditional just wont work. i believe most of the users are on there looking / listening to music and band sites

Yea you have to be creative but alot of people in IM just follow the crowd and what everyone else is doing. You have to go on your own avenues and try your own methods.

too me myspace went downhill after they changed the layout more than once, the best, simple, easy layout was the original (even myself got sick of myspace due to frequent changes) now people hardly post profile comments and/or bulletins, it's all news feeds

Myspace isn't myspace anymore. It might as well be grooveshark or youtube. I wouldn't consider it a social network anymore.

Yeah, a friend of mine still has a MS with like 10k friends last time logging in there were only about 5 users online. they lost a lot of users. funny you could edit profiles and such etc unlike facebook i guess it doesn't really matter what features you have it dies eventually

I doubt it's dead, they still have 100 millions of users. i just know they lost a lot of traffic their no where near the ranking they were on Alexa a couple years ago
